i'm so lazy!if you've been wondering where i've been (which you probably haven't
) i've been working on this bad boy for about a month and a half. i've gotten to the point where i'm not motivated anymore ( it just takes so long!... also i'm finishing up a set of shrunken clay heads and working on three oil paintings. i'm juggling these things like crazy, so forgive me for no recent photography \\huichol mask: huichols basically did a ton of beaded work and got high off of peyote all day. they lived in the sierra mountains for a super long time in isolation, but the government sort of pushed in on them and they blended in with the local culture unfortunately. some of the signs i included are from their culture, some of the signs are just important to me.
made of: papier mache, gesso on top to seal it and then you put the glue down and set each individual bead. it's time consuming, and sometimes things don't fit right, so you have to make them, but it's fun.
