Description

So howdy folks, long time no activity. So guess who got their wisdom teeth yanked out? And also had an embarrassing panic attack during the whole thing? Yeah um... it's been a rough week and a half... But I'm here and not able to really do anything, so really it's the perfect time to sit down and try to actually right the f*cking description I've been working on for forever. So anyways, have some Springtrap and Plushtrap fanart.

So I will say right now that I actually am a fan of the FNaF series. Not a diehard fan or anything, but a fan nonetheless. I know that's a pretty taboo thing considering both the hate for the series and the um... "interesting"... fandom, but I digress. I just think it's an interesting idea. Plus Scott Cawthon, the creator of the series, seems like a pretty cool guy. I honestly have a lot of respect for the man. I mean, the guy made game after game that everyone panned and criticised, calling his characters stiff and robotic and his game design juvenile, he made one last attempt actually using those very criticisms to his advantage, and it became a hit. That, to me, is hella inspirational. And despite all the hate he gets, being called a cash whore and a hack, and all that, and despite said cringy side of the fanbase forever tarnishing his work, he still keeps right on going. Good on ya Scott.

But anyways enough about that, lets talk about this. This was actually a bord-doodle-turned-full-picture that I made all the way back in January of 2017. It started out as me just sketching a picture of Springtrap (my personal favorite FNaF character) to kinda experiment with different textures, such as wire, rust, cloth, etc. I actually wasn't planning on shading it or anything at first, but the more I fleshed it out (heh), the more complex it became. Hence this was born.

It was based on an idea I had about Springtrap after the fire, where he basically escaped the building (with a few stolen parts) and would go around breaking into places for supplies to both repair himself and make himself more dangerous. Basically like the old "Salvage" thing but upped a few levels. At the same time though, it would be a bit more limited, as the parts he would use would be limited to anything he either stole from Fazbear's Fright or anything he could scrounge up, whether it be from people's garages, workshops, schools, stores, etc. I guess William might have more knowledge of where old animatronics are as well, so assuming they haven't been removed or confiscated he could probably use those as well.

So that being said, think of the possibilities.

Drilling screws and nails into his mouth and limbs to make himself even more dangerous
Adding extra limbs with extra joints for extra mobility/utility
Using the holes in the suite or adding new ones himself to hide and store tools and weapons
Maybe adding deadly weapons to incomplete limbs to wield like Ash from Evil Dead (Chainsaw arm anyone?)
Heck, he could probably incorporate new technology like cell phone or computer parts if he figured out how they worked. It probably wouldn't take long, considering the technical skill/ingenuity William would need to create such advanced robotic technology.

And so on and so forth. I will say that with this being almost two years old, I have done quite a bit more with this idea, and hopefully when I get a new computer I can run my scanner on I can show y'all what I've been up to. Well, that and get everything else uploaded.

Oh, almost forgot about Plushtrap. I wasn't planning on adding him/it at first, but the image needed something to fill the negative space on the right, so I decided to add him. while Plushtrap seems to have only ever appeared as a nightmare character in the fourth game, it is established that there is some kind of real Plushtrap (although I doubt that would be it's actual name), so there is a possibility that Springy could find one and use it. Hence this particular doll. Now, whether on not plushtrap was warped in the nightmare is up for debate, but here I treated it as if it was close to accurate. This particular doll have seen better days, having also broken down and lost parts such as his right eye. That being said though, I've since changed the design since I first made this, not because of the whole nightmare debacle, but because a segmented animatronic doll doesn't make any sense. Most real animatronic dolls (like Tickle-Me Elmo, Furbies, FurReal Friends, etc) have solid, non-segmented cloth skins, as to not break the illusion of them being horrifying robots. I don't think a doll based on the FNaF-verse characters would be any different. It would be foolish for any company to try and make the dolls look like the animatronics that they are based on rather than the actual character, as they would be trying to make the characters seem real. Then again, it's not like Fazbear Entertainment ever made any good decisions in the company's runtime... But anyways, here the PT is kind of like a little minion, after being reprogrammed and modified by afton for his own purposes.

Now, I did say that Springtrap is my favorite fnaf character, there is one thing that always bothered me... CORPSES MAN! YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG!! Seriously, why is there fleshy muscle and organs in ST? That would have been gone, in like two weeks, tops! That place Will died in was FULL of bugs, mice, rats, moisture, and other stuff, so any soft tissue would have been eaten VERY quickly! Heck, green bottle flies have been reported to arrive at a fresh corpse within minutes! MINUTES!!Β So yeah, Will's carcass always bothered me... especially since I may or may not work with decomposing carcases on a regular basis... So if anyone is wondering why the body looks the way it does in the image, it's not because of the fire, it's because that's what it's supposed to look like; brown, leathery, full of holes and insect nibbles and shmeared in maggot poo. Yeah, it smells as bad as it sounds (how in the hell anyone would miss that is BEYOND me... if you're not used to it it'll knock the wind outta you. There's no way those kids in the third game would have missed it when they found Springy, especially if the room had been sealed off at some point and all those lovely odors had a chance to stew).

So again, this was made almost two years ago, so at the time I made this Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator (and Scott's own redesign(?) of Springtrap, Scraptrap), hadn't become a thing yet. So...I guess this doesn't work anymore... Oh well, guess AUs are super popular now, what's one more?

I'll be honest though... I really don't like Scraptrap's design... At all... Sorry Scott...

You see, you can tell it's not a long Furby...Β Because of the way it is. Isn't that neat?!

Jesus, this image is amazing!! Your salvaged Springtrap idea is Amazing!!Β

And so, I have a question. How you mentioned Springtrap's corpse not be realistic. That's been a problem to me too every since I first laid eyes on Springtrap (and Scraptrap, especially). And so, since I don't really know much about Corpse's, how would his actual "corpse" look like fully? Like, the entire body in general? I know you've said in this post that it would be brown and leathery and such, but would the actual body be there? Would there be just metal mostly with some remnants of flesh? Would his bones still be prevalent, or would they have decayed considering he was trapped in that backroom for 30 years?Β

Well thank you, glad you like it!

>"And so, since I don't really know much about Corpse's, how would his actual "corpse" look like fully?"
This really depends on the exact conditions present, but my best guess would be something like aΒ "messy mummy", being mostly skeletonized with thin ribbons of dried skin, muscle, tendons, cartilage, and decomp slime clinging to the bones. And it would stink. Not like mid-decomp putrefied carcass left in the hot sun stink, but that nasty sweetly sour stink that dried carcasess tend to get. The remains would probably also make an aweful crunching noise as the animatronic forced them to move... (I'm a little disappointed Scott didn't use that in the games)

>"Would his bones still be prevalent, or would they have decayed considering he was trapped in that backroom for 30 years?"
Yeah, there's no way that the bones would be able to decay in those conditions. If anything they would be well preserved.Β The bones themselves would probably be heavily fractured/shattered from the animatronic parts crushing up against them, especially the skull, ribs, and long bones. They would also probably be covered in gnawΒ marks from scavengers such as rodents, and would be stained a deep yellow-brown from the decomp juices. Bone shards would have fallen out during the decomp process and reanimation of the animatronic, but I'd gander most of the bones would stay in the suit.

I actually drew a quick sketch of what I [personally] think the human head portion would look like here in my salvaged springtrap concept drawings if you're interested

It is pretty common that Scraptrap is less popular than Springtrap. The design of Springtrap is really good.

You're very welcome

>"never played the games because i am a giant crybaby that can't handle jumpscares"
I'll admit I have yet to actually play the games myself, although not because of the jumpscares, but it takes me forever to psych myself into playing a new game :/ So I'm right there with ya

>"BUT i must say, the lore in the first two games was amazing! it was thrilling, creepy and super disgusting. i love it!"
I hear ya. Third game was pretty cool too lore wise, although I felt it was a bit lacking in the main gameplay (although that's just from what I've seen, it might be different if I play it myself). But then it kinda went off the deep end with Four onwards.... I still respect the game series for what it is though.

Anywho, thank you so much!
