*ENGLISH EDITED!!*Warning! HUGE FILE!! Please, download for full size.
Just decided to do a quick tutorial of how I do digital speedpaints with a traditional pencil sketch (I constantly get this question). These need less than a hour to complete so it's definitely FAST X_D
I use Photoshop CS5. Of course this is just a personal style and I absolutely invite you to experiment by yourself. But if you find it useful for a start, I'll be happy enough ^^
Character is Winter Soldier from Captain America.

Very clear and easy to follow. Great tutorial for people with photoshop, like myself. I sadly don't have SAI and don't have the money atm, finding good tutorials for photoshop is kinda tricky. So thank you and well done!

But the coloring's the easy part, how long did it take to do that sketch? ^_^" That sketch looks really nice. But, I guess you did do a little more with the coloring than I usually do, so the coloring's nice, too.
Also, does this help? ^_^ sta.sh/0eqwq747iy5 (it's my English version of Photoshop CS5)

Aaaaah, that's great!! Thank you! I put the right name of the layers now ^^
The sketch was done in about 1 hour as well but I'm afraid I can't do a tutorial for it. I might consider taking pictures of the sketch process as well although there's no secret. Just a small piece of paper, mechanical pencils, blenders and... voilà! XD

I was thinking more like... how you make decisions, or something. How you begin a drawing and start the person's pose and his face. This is something I saved for someone that shows the earliest layers for a pic I did in Photoshop. It shows a little about how I worked out their poses and where to put their facial features. sta.sh/04bguzcfo5g
But there's probably a lot of people who would like to know how you use blenders, too. (I tend to be bad with working out poses and faces, though, so I like seeing others talk about beginning those)

I don't even have an answer for that either. I just get an idea in my head and try to portray it before I forget it (that's why I use to do my sketches very quickly and randomly). I used to think more about an idea when I was going to draw but now I lack time so I just sketch whatever comes to my mind. Sometimes I'm sailing on the net and see many inspirational models/poses and use them as reference (in that case I always name the source) but it's been a long time since I don't do that. Maybe that could help you, dunno ^^U

thanks for putting this up and showing us how you work your magic. One other thing I'd like to know is, do you draw these things on Cardstock or Bristol Board and what size is the paper? Sorry to keep pestering you with more questions, I'm just the nitpicking type I'm afraid. Hope to hear back from you soon and more great work from you

Uuuuh... you will laugh at my answer. I just use 100gr print paper ^^U I don't have money to waste in absolutely good quality papers and, don't ask me why, I draw worse in good papers than in cheap papers X_D Size is A6 although I scan it in a veeery high resolution (1200 dpi) so I can zoom it and print it in A4 or even A3

Try it, this is quite simple. The coloring isn't great but I'm sure that after practicing more it'll look better.
