AboutOhhhh my gosh, you guys. So I’m sitting here playing around with different techniques and I go to draw some hair to get practice. I didn’t really care about the color at the time, I just wanted to get the practice of strokes and shaping in, so I chose a random color from the background. Orange. I realized that it looks sparky and fiery the more I drew it so I went with it and boom, this happened. It has its flaws (like the major fact that this horse is on fire and the surrounding forest is not?) but I’m a little shocked that I made this, usually I’m not happy with my work at all. As I said on the WIP of this, happy accidents are happy haha.
This may or may not be a new character. I’m not really an Arabian person so I may change the breed if I do decide to make her (him?) into an official character design. Though, I don’t do anything with the one OC I have now so I don’t really know what to do. We’ll see.

Fantastic! May I ask you what brush settings you use? I'm trying to settle into a technique but the ones I am using just aren't working for me... So I'm trying to find one that does. Thanks!

Thank you very much! It's strange having someone ask me about how I do hair, I'm really terrible at it haha so I'm usually the one asking! I usually use a round brush on a hard setting around 5px and I make sure that pen pressure controls the size so when I make the strokes, the strokes "fade out" at the end. That seems to help a lot!
