This was very enlightening!I love taking a peek at how other artist's do their work!I'm interested that you change the way you hold your pencil...I find I do that[although I don't get much chance to get to my easel these days!!]It's amazing the difference it makes to your style....It's also interesting to see the sylistic changes you made..she's a bit less thick in the waist[although she's slim!],and the lighter tones of "your" hair seem to add more more *headspace* in your version ...all in all,an excellent piece,and a very helpful insight into your working methods!!

The reference picture is from the mango catalogue 2008. I'm living in Germany but I don't know if they did that on an international base.

You're very talented! I suck at draw the "help lines", so there are always a lot of thing that aren't at the good size! >_<

Hey, there is no rule which says that you must use help lines, also you don't need to do a exact copy of the picture you want to draw

first, this is so amazing! you did amazing job here 8D and the details part is fun yea, but it's soo hard for me (it's like the nightmare of my drawing XD) T.T like.. My worst thing that I do when I draw a person is the details of their face, I don't know what to do to increase my level of drawing faces and details more carefully ): help??

Well, I had the same problem when I started drawing portraits. My teacher always told me that I have to practice since there is no real tip OTL.. I'd suggest that you start with rough lines/sketches to get the whole face/body/etc. Then try to focus on the darker spots and try to get the contrasts.
Or draw from other drawings and then go over to drawing from photos and from real people. That's the easiest way I guess.

Hm... You could try different shades by "painting". Like when you use colored pencils. You don't really need to use crosshatching there

seriously, this is the most usefull and simple tutorial of pencil drawning that I could ever found here!
It help me a lot to correct some of the clasical mistakes that you mentioned on it ^^
