Spiral Knights is a very neat game. It has neat music, neat visuals, a neat setting, and old school gameplay that people either love or hate (Sadly not everyone likes games of this style in this day and age. It’s HERESY! But it’s also the reality, nevertheless.). Personally, I love it. But enough of that, game reviews are for journal entries.

This is my take on the standard pistol design in the game’s setting and one of my favorites aesthetically. The grip, trigger assembly and iron sight are my own additions, of course, along with the Aquila embossed on the barrel (because I’m a Warhammer 40k nerd). The rest I tried to reproduce as faithfully as I could based off of some screenshots, which for the uninitiated is harder than it sounds, since there really isn’t any good way to inspect each individual weapon in-game, nor is there any readily available weapon concept art. At any rate I think I did a well enough job to where anyone who’s played the game can tell exactly what it is regardless of my modifications.

I think this is setting the standard for much of what I’ll be submitting from now on. I like to think I’m pretty good at design work, and it certainly looks better in the gallery than sub-par demotivators and a gif that I really need to re-size for an avatar, come to think of it.
