Created about 1.7 million years ago by J'Hona T'wa during his entrapment within the Stapledon Dyson Sphere Control Network. The Crystalline/Altered Old were create to be more powerful and have greater abilities than the Nuran that came before, along with the new Nuran being resistant to Twisted Sickness. With standard powers and capabilities of the Prehistoric and Old all hyped up to make a new form of Nuran. With the looks and half effects of the Hyper Nuran power up on top of the added Crystallokinesis, the Crystalline Nuran was to be the future of the Nuran when introduced into the Condor Galaxy.
Sadly they wasn't introduced when they were planned to, due to the death of J'Hona, and thus kept in stasis for many years until the Stapledon Dyson Sphere they were all located in, the Mobius Sphere above the galactic centre of the Condor Galaxy, woke them after 1.6 million years of being frozen.
They created their own society within the Mobius Sphere, and formed a large space faring organisation, the Nuran Federation, within a short span of time. Using the knowledge and resources their creator had left for them.
They currently control every Stapledon Dyson Sphere within the Control Network, and have the largest population of all the Nuran Factions.

The Nuran Systems Alliance encountered the Mobius Sphere and subsequently met the Altered Old Nuran in their home. Although the two were friendly, the Altered Old Nuran remained their own faction and didn't join the NSA.
Their kind was saved by Hassara Abyss after a genetic problem surfaced that threatened them.

Fleet Captain Mixi is one of the more recognised members of this type of Nuran, and is an adept Cosmic Energy user and fighter whom uses knuckledusters instead of swords.
