It does. Very well observed. 
But I wasn't trying to make it Megaman style. I was trying to imitate the style of mangaka Shotaro Ishinomori (kikaider, cyborg 009 and others). Now that you say it, some of ishinomori's heroes look like megaman, with huge arms and feet. It's possible that Megaman creators were influenced by him.

Megaman was very much an homage to Astroboy/ Tetsuwan Atom by Osamu Tezuka. Ishinomori was an assistant to Tezuka at one point early in his career (I do know that he helped him draw a few of the Astroboy stories), so it makes sense there would be some influences when he went out on his own.
I liked Cybork 009, but I've only read a couple of them.
