Description
Car that crashes in slow-moHero cut down by grinning foe
House destroyed by lava flow
These are the things you want to know
more about, and you can see
that understanding lies in me
a man blessed with insanity
who hurtles his profanities
against the world. That gleaming, dreaming, scheming ball
it laughs at me and curses you and trips us up until we fall
but do not fear, despite its gall
I can see clearly through it all.
Do not believe a word they say.
Can night be day
p
or u be d
o
w
n
?
The king of his mind does not bow to the crown
of an outsider.
But that is beside the point here.
You must learn to
contain
maintain
restrain
yourself from the profane
temptations of this plane.
When your weakness has finally passed
you will receive answers to the questions that have never been asked.

My personal interpretation - while I don't profess to be very poetic minded - is that the "speaker" is encouraging the reader to have their own mind and soul apart from the rest. "Free your mind," if you will, or "free your will". Essentially, "free yourself". Do not be constrained to or convinced of the ways of thinking and things that we are told to think and know by people around us in the world. Interpret the world - and the universe - for yourself, for ultimately, only you can learn anything and everything completely through your own experience, thoughts, examinations and experiments. There is never any telling if what a person is telling you is corrupting deception, or error or inaccuracy. So don't always take what others tell you/teach you as solid, static and universally accepted fact. Learn to free your mind, and use it for yourself.
That's my interpretation, at least.

Thanks. I’m not even 100% sure of it myself, but that’s a pretty good interpretation.

It seems to be Random, though there is meaning weaved in there, and i wonder what it truly means.
Darkness, Death, Insanity, anger/resentment, Awaken Understanding, Confusion, Self worth, Yielding, endurance, Understanding/accepting
I get those meanings in that order, give or take some switches. It seems.. broader then the small size gives it scope for.
Almost abstract with reality seeming to cling to it.
It also seems to switch on styles in some points, from dark, to a form of beat related poem, to one that holds a hint of sorrow in it's telling.

Thanks for the in-depth comment. this is a very strange one for me indeed. I don’t think it really had much meaning to begin with, it was just a rhythm that I had to get down on paper somehow. Looking back though, I feel there really is a message to it. Very interesting to see how you interpreted it.
