Long before and after any offensive, there will be a few operatives doing recon and sabotage through indirect or 3rd party means to keep their involvement secret.

Along with an internalized forearm mounted gun like the shotgun of the SAA Infantry, this one has claws and a pair of short blades visible on the left arm. Majority of their suit's capabilities and mission loadout will be cloaking, self-preservation methods, life support systems, and cyber warfare gear and software.

They will insert their hooks into security systems and digital networks and begin subtly weakening a planet, ship or station's ability to maintain its efficiency with glitches, bugs, software crashes, false system updates, altered logistic requests and maintenance records, falsified data streams, reports, etc., anything that can be blamed on human or coding error and not a spy.

To do this, they have to get into the places where these terminals can be accessed that will require a suit that can disappear at will, is cloaked against most known sensors, is passively shielded against all known invasive programs and energies, and can make a quick getaway to hide for up to a year without movement.

These soldiers are not picked from the crowd of others. They are not treated as soldiers at all. Chosen at a ripe teenage year, these kids will go through 25 years of intense training, including many not given to any but specialized units. They are taught to code, and to be alone for long periods of time without human contact. Only the presence of a dumb A.I. in their suit systems keeps them company.
