Same story, couldn't help it, i wanted to color, and do something usefull.
AC is a great artist
but this is her style, and this was again a great practise for body shapes AND coloring ^^No, i'm not the best of friends with him/her >_> just because i finished one of her sketches :3
Work time: 2 hours 40 mins *handled it with care*
Colors: Lime green, venom green, reddish pink, honey- and chocolate brown, yellow , mustard yellow, orange *hides*
Side note: Love AC's character, although i kinda screwed up the face and the paws :s Me likes it :3

I'm just going to have to admit that I'm confused as to who did what here. Well, okay, I know you did the coloring.
I would point out that the coloring here, on the arms and body at least, succeed in the 8-year-old style you mention. It seems to make some texture on the fur.
Transitions are a bit abrupt, especially between the light yellow on the face and the "shadowed" darker color under his hair. That's too rough there. The transition on the fingers to the paws is very abrupt too; what would happen if you shaded them into one another more?
The tie is particularly well colored, and it makes the hair seem less done by comparison. That is, the brown of the tie, with its several colors, seems to be the same kind of idea going on with the headfur, although not as much attention has been lavished on the hair.
I'm glad to see the different shades of yellow on his chest fur--it adds depth and texture, or at least character, especially as it contrasts colorwise nicely with his fur in general.
Of course, the red eye just throws me.
Overall, this is one of your better coloring jobs. Still a little crayony, but it shows that sometimes such a technique applies well.

but then i just continued and it came out great |D~
