If there were anything worse than this,
It would have to be hell.
Poor, young soldiers not so far away,
From where their maker dwells
It has gone on for centuries
The stabbing, the slashing, the firing of guns
The losses of husbands, daughters, and sons

Blood flows freely
It never dries
During this time of countless moans and cries
Brave men and women
Gladly give their lives for the cause
But did we ever take time to pause
And think,
In the midst of pools of blood,
Was their something else that could have been done?

We fight eachother constantly,
In a never-ending duel.
But was there ever a need to be so cruel?
Could there be a solution to stop this horrific game?
Can't we see that we are all the same?
Are we the masters of this thinking?
Or are we it's slave?
For murdering is no way to show that we are brave.
