The first sentence of a quote from the Masked Salesman nicely sums upΒ how almost all of Link's companions leave him after their journey together, so I usedΒ that as the text for this comic.(It could also sum up every encounter in life, reminding us that no one can be together forever and yada yada) The rest of the quote is, "However, that parting need not last forever... Whether a parting be forever or merely for a short time... That is up to you," though I don't really believe in that part.
Among Link's companions, Epona is the only one that's been Link's partner multiple times.
The rest journey with Link once and leave, never to be seen again (except for Toon Zelda).
