Description Rattapack 2: Meet the Jazzos

CHAPTER 17

Backstage in the dressing room, the Rattapacks were with the Jazzos getting warmed up, the makeup crew had already been with them to make sure they looked like stars.
There was a knock on the door just then, Sir William Silver, Chris & Zack came in.

"Hey guys." Gary said.

"Hey." Chris and zack answered together.

"Well, Today's the day guys, are you exited?" Sir William asked.

"Oh yes, and very nervous too." Rattick answered.

"So this is what we've been training for, and now it's time to show off what we can do." Rattamack added.

"That's right, you've been training with us all week, and now it's time to show Birmingham what you're all made of." Gregory said back.

"We'll be waiting outside." Gary added.

The Jazzos went out ready for the event, while the Rattapacks had a small talk with the others.
Chris approached Rattick, Zack approached Rattamack, and Sir William stayed with Rattissa.

"I hope all our work will have paid off after the past week." Rattissa said.

"I'm sure it will." Sir William answered.

"I can already visualise you guys." Chris said to Rattick.

"You're both going to do really well, and Rattissa too." Zack said to Rattamack.

The Rattapack brothers hugged the boys, while Sir William was hands together with Rattissa.

"Rattissa, I know you can do very well, and I have my full confidence in you and the brothers.  Make me proud, make us all proud." Sir William said to Rattissa.

Sir William Silver cuddled Rattissa.

"Hey you'd better get to the stage, Mr. Roland will be looking for you."

On the stage a few moments later, Richard Roland was about to make his opening speech, he stepped up to the front with a microphone, and addressed the audience of Birmingham as the music died down.

"Good afternoon Birmingham.  Welcome to our fifth annual dance and comedy act of the Jazzos here from the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham…it is here that every year since their debut, that we have celebrated year after year with the Jazzos as they dance for us all, and make you collapse laughing on the floor.
But this year is something special for us all, as last week they were joined by three others of their kind who will be joining us this afternoon, and I think I have someone who is more qualified to tell a story on that.  So I would now like to welcome our hosting sponsor, he recently made his business national last month, and is good a friend of us all.  Please welcome Sir William Silver."

Sir William Silver came from the side of the stage and shook hands with Richard Roland before being given the microphone.
As the audience cries died down, Sir William made his speech.

"Thank you very much, I'm so glad that you could all make it here this afternoon to witness this very special event, which is not only important to all of you, neither is it important only to Richard Roland, the Jazzos, but also to me and my family at the front.
Something I have to share with you all, is something that has deeply moved me.  Never before have I heard of the Jazzos...last week, I met up with Richard Roland at Acme Multimedia, and there they were.  The Jazzos were standing there looking down at me and my sons…and I was in such dismay, because never before had I been familiar with the most popular entertaining rats of their kind…but last week, some good friends of mine and my family were asked to join them tonight, in their fifth annual dancing and comedy act here in Birmingham.
So for me it is just as important that all of them, the Jazzos Included make us all proud this afternoon."

The audience applauded as Sir William passed the Microphone back to Richard Roland.

"Well ladies and gentlemen, you are just an awesome audience, and we're all about to have fun, how about if we got to the people you came to see?"

The audience cheered like mad, the lights turned on behind them ready for the Jazzos and Rattapacks who were just on the side.

"Well then, without further ado, here they come for your convenience.  Please welcome brothers Gary and Gregory Jazzo, with their new friends Rattick, Rattamack and Rattissa Rattapack!"

On that note, the audience cheered, the music started, and the Jazzos and Rattapacks came on from the side to take centre stage, they waved at the people of Birmingham as they came on.
The first track was 'Les Rhythms Digitals - Jacques your body makes you sweat.'
Once the first beats picked up so too did the dancing moves.
The Jazzos started off with some full body motions, arms swirling, legs wobbling, and the famous Michael Jackson Moonwalk.
Then it was the turn of the Rattapacks to make their moves.  Having been taught through the week, the Rattapacks were impressing the People of Birmingham just like the Jazzos always do.
Soon enough everyone on the floor was joining in just like the Jazzos like to see them do.
Richard Roland and Sir William Silver stood on the sidelines watching the Jazzos and Rattapacks.
Richard Roland was a Good dancer, but he grooved on the spot taking in the beats…Sir William Silver however stood still, but Richard wasn't disappointed.
As the music picked up to the main chorus beats the Rattapacks and Jazzos were in synchronised steps with each other and remained as such throughout the rest of track, the crowds on the floor continued dancing along throughout the track to the finish.
Even Chris And Zack were really enjoying themselves dancing away merrily to the music.
As soon as the music stopped, the Jazzos and Rattapacks stood still while the audience cheered like mad.
The Jazzos approached the front of stage to address the audience, they and the Rattapacks had headsets so they didn't have to carry microphones around.
When the audience died down, the Jazzos confronted the them.

"Good afternoon Birmingham!" Gary called out to the audience.

"You know it's so wonderful to see you all here this afternoon just like every night we're on stage around the world.  For five years we've been entertaining audiences up and down, side to side, all over the world.  And for those five years, we've had the best audiences that you could ever get, now you can't say fairer than that eh, can you say fairer than that?" Gregory carried on.

The audience cheered again.

"That's how we like to hear it.  Now then, Mr. Roland mentioned earlier that we have some guests with us this afternoon, three like us who we made friends with just last week when their Friends the Silvers met us for the first time…and we agreed that they should take to the stage for our first comedy act, so we'll leave you with the minds of Rattick, Rattamack and Rattissa, The Rattapacks!"

The audience cheered as the Jazzos stood back and let the Rattapacks take centre stage.
Many props came on from the sides of the stage ready for the comedy act.
Rattamack took the lead being the main comedian of the three.

"Good to see you Birmingham, good to see you all this afternoon, time for another one of our little hart to harts?" Rattamack teased.

The audience laughed, they knew it was a joke because they had never met before.
Rattamack went over to the right hand side of the stage, where a fake can was laid, on the side of the can it was printed with the words, Heinz Bang.
Rattamack pointed to the can.

"You see this ladies and gentlemen.  This actually does what it says on the tin."

At the moment Rattamack started to walk away, the tin made a small boom out the top and let off a puff of smoke, leaving Rattamack in wheezed laughter, and the audience in stitches.
Rattamack went over to join the others for the next one liner.

"You know I've been looking forward to this event all week, and there's 4000 people here, I didn't think anybody was going to turn up at all.  So I'm glad you did otherwise we'd have gotten arrested for talking to ourselves."

Rattick walked over to the left hand side, interrupting Rattamack's jokes.

"Wait a minute Rattamack, I thought I saw something over on the side of the stage, I remember walking in feeling very fortunate." rattick said.

Rattick bent down and grabbed a few things from the floor behind the curtain.
He grabbed a mop.

"A mop, sounds like this place needs a clean."

The audience laughed at each joke that Rattick made with the random items he found.
The next item he found was a dodge ball.

"A dodge ball?  Oh yeah, get some nuts."

The audience didn't understand this joke.

"What do we have here?"

Rattick grabbed a stuffed black cat by the tail and threw it across the stage as it screeched, cutting the audience to pieces.
Even the Rattapacks were cut to laughter.

"Talk about bad luck."

The audience were still laughing.

"Oh what the heck Rattick, you were always a ram on the side."

"Whatever sister."

Rattamack unzipped his tracksuit top for the next joke going down to his under-vest.

"You know, we've had these tracksuits made for us for this performance, Sir William Silver got these in for us all.  But mine is strange, it feels rather uncomfortable, I'm sure he left a pin in the sleeve…"

Rattamack generated a bowling pin from the left sleeve of his tracksuit top.

"Yeah he did look at that, can you believe it?"

The audience could see where he was coming from.

"Sir William Silver needs to improve although he's my friend."

Before anything more could happen, someone walked in from the right hand side of the stage to interrupt the show.

"Hey, you can't Blame Sir William for everything." The man interrupted.

It was Simon Cowell, dubbed as one of the meanest critics in the world, a man who was famous for talking negative about people in many cases with new stars.
As Simon walked onto centre stage, the audience started booing at him, the Rattapacks and Jazzos joined in too.

"Ah, screw you all, I'm the star of this show." Simon said to the audience sarcastically.

Sir William silver and Richard Roland both grabbed Microphones and went onto centre stage.

"I'm the one you all came to see this afternoon, not a bunch of rats."

"Mr. Simon Cowell, what are you doing here interrupting the show like this?" Richard asked Simon.

"Have you got a problem as you always have, or are you just doing your usual dirty work and making a complete fool of yourself?" Sir William added.

The audience laughed at Sir William's humour, right now it seemed like Sir William was the star of the show.

"I see working for some rodents has made you a bigger fool than they are." Simon taunted.

"Watch your mouth Simon Cowell, they're very sensitive."

"Yeah you can watch your mouth alright, and I hope you brushed your teeth this morning." Richard added.

The audience laughed again.
Simon Cowell turned and looked at the camera to confront the viewers.

"What are you all looking at you little kids?"

Sir William Silver got his face in the camera and butted in.

"Don't listen to him, he only talks trash."

The audience were still laughing at every joke that was being told.

"Look Simon couldn't you have picked a better time to argue your thoughts on the Rattapacks and Jazzos, we're halfway through the show when you came in, you could have come to us after the show and say what you thought." Sir William said.

"No actually, I wanted to come in now, I knew that this is always the best time to screw it all up for ones opening night."

"Just like your job Simon, you do this all the time."

Simon moved to the very edge of the front of the stage facing the audience.

"Of course it's my job, it's who I am.  I like making fun of everyone who's anyone, that how I'm so well known by my fans."

The audience still booed him.

"And if only you'd see it my way…"

Before Simon could finish his next sentence, Gregory threw the dodge ball straight at Simon's back off guard, making him fall off the front of stage.
Simon landed on top of a piano below the stage, the top of which slammed closed from his body weight booming all the notes, and catching everyone in stitches.  The audience were laughing, The Rattapacks and Jazzos were laughing, Richard Roland was laughing, Sir William Silver was laughing.
Luckily, Simon was not hurt badly from the fall as it was only a couple of feet from the stage to the piano.
Rattick came over to the side of the stage and looked down at him.

"You alright down there?" Rattick called down.

"Isn't it obvious Rattick?" Simon called back up.

Simon stumbled over a harp & a guitar was he tried to walk away from the act, strumming all the strings as he moved.
Rattick looked up at the audience camera.

"Now that's what I call a joke with strings attached."

Everybody laughed again.  As Sir William Silver led Richard Roland off the stage laughing like mad, the audience applauded at the bravery of the Rattapacks.
Once the audience died down again, Rattick confronted them.

"Sorry about all that hassle Ladies and Gentlemen, that was Simon Cowell the famous clumsy imbecile."

The audience laughed again, as Rattick moved back to join the Jazzos and the Rattapacks.

"Yes, I think that we all need to get those muscles grooving again, how about another dancing act?" Gregory called to the audience.

The audience were applauding and cheering now.

"I think that you people of Birmingham need to think bizarre for a while, so we have something planned to make you think that…DJ let's turn up the music." Gary added on.
