Rattapack 2, Meet the JazzosCHAPTER 4
A few moments later, Sir William was playing the DVD on his computer. Everyone was gathered around the computer to have a look at the evidence.
The evidence that Officer carpel caught showed Katamancen in jail looking patient and silent.
In a moment's notice someone broke through the roof of the police station in front of Katamancen's cell.
The figure was a black short furred dog with sharp teeth, standing on two legs, looking at Katamancen with evil red eyes, and dressed in onyx black robes.
The evil looking dog used some magic on Katamancen's cell to break the bars.
As soon as Katamancen stepped out, she confronted the dog.
"Master." Katamancen said to the dog.
Katamancen curtsied to her master.
"Katamancen, how did you get in there?" The dog asked.
"The Rattapacks, what else master?"
"Don't you worry, I'll help you take them down, they won't do it twice."
Security guards attempted to intercept the evil duo from all exits, all of them had Meracarsters at the ready.
"Think you can defeat me with my own weapon?" The master called out.
Rattick knew who the identity was having heard the last words of the dog.
"Stop."
Sir William paused the evidence and everyone looked at Rattick.
"Do you know who it is Rattick?"
"Yes I do, that's Mandark Meracarster…or as a safety aspect, we call him, the Double M. He's a mutant dog of incredible power and strength, and also the inventor of the Meracarsiderum, the substance of which is named after the Double M himself."
"So you have to call him the Double M, not by his full name?" Officer Carpel asked.
"Correct, if you use his full name in vain, it can bring you great peril, if even to bring him here to you."
Officer Carpel remained Patient, and having listened carefully to what Rattick was telling him about the Double M, everyone was now aware of the situation.
"And what can this double M guy do that we don't know of?"
Sir William continued playing evidence continued on the computer:
Many police officers were firing the red Meracarsters at the double M, but none of the shots were taking any damage on him or Katamancen.
"Nice try." Meracarster said.
The double M unleashed some of his power on the police officers. The double M had invented the Meracarsiderum like he warned them, and his magic was therefore made of it.
Using this magic power, he cast it upon the police officers, and made them completely paralyzed on the spot.
While the evil duo had a chance to get out the police station, that's exactly what they did. The double M paralyzed anyone who tried to stop them getting out.
The evidence stopped at that point, and Sir William turned to Officer Carpel.
"With your permission Officer I would like to investigate in more detail."
"I'm afraid I cannot do that Sir William, what you saw was strictly police investigation, and we cannot allow interference even from the Rattapacks."
The Rattapacks were puzzled at Officer Carpel's request.
"But I can ask a favour of the Rattapacks on our behalf, and that is to keep an eye out for either of these evil duo, and report their whereabouts and actions to us whenever and wherever possible."
"Thank you Officer." Rattissa said.
The Rattapacks looked at Sir William, trying to remain calm.
"Sir William maybe we should take a walk in the fresh air, see if that will calm us down."
"Whatever you like Rattick, you guys go and do that if you want to."
"You're not coming?" Rattamack asked.
"I must remain with Officer Carpel for a while."
"Oh no that's fine Sir William. That evidence was the main reason for my coming here to see you."
Sir William removed the DVD from his computer, put it back in the plastic sleeve, and passed it back to Officer Carpel.
"Thank you Sir William."
"No thank you Officer, for letting us know about Katamancen's escape."
The Rattapacks began to walk out of the front door.
"You have your keys on you?" Sir william asked.
"I've got Keys Sir William, I couldn't let the boys handle them properly."
"Sister!" The boys said together.
"You got a Problem with that?"
"(Chuckling) Go on."
Rattissa shut the door after Officer Carpel came out with them and locked it behind her.
The three of them then spoke to Officer Carpel quickly as they walked away from the house.
"Guys, if I may let you know. It is very important that what you just saw does not go public, the only way the people are going to get on with their happy lives, is they do not know about this."
"You have my word Officer…boys?" Rattissa replied.
"Yes." the boys said together.
Officer Carpel shook hands with the Rattapacks before getting into his police car and driving back to the station.
Later that afternoon the Rattapacks were walking down the streets of the city talking to each other about the recent issues with Katamancen and the double M, being careful of course that the public didn't overhear.
"So how did they escape in the first place? I know that someone broke her out and stopped all the security getting to them."
"Were you not watching the evidence Rattick?"
"Yes I was, I was watching the evidence carefully sister."
"Well you were the one who knew the name, of the one who broke her out." Rattamack added.
The Rattapacks walked past the alleys just then, Rattick stopped at the turning.
"What is it Rattick?" Rattamack asked.
"Are you hearing something strange?" Rattissa added.
"I'm hearing music coming from our old alleyway." Rattick answered.
Rattissa and Rattamack listened in, they too heard the music playing.
The three of them walked down the alleyway, and looked around the corner.
Twin brother rats were practicing some break dancing routines down the alley, while listening to music being played through speakers in a car CD stereo, that was parked up down there.
The rats were white furred and both wore silver tracksuits, white socks, and gold trainers.
Because they were exact twin brothers, one of them had GR imprinted on his tracksuit, the other had the letters GA imprinted.
The music was being played by DJ Patrick who was there with them, the music that the rats were dancing to was entitled 'Young MC's - bust a move'.
The Rattapacks looked for a while and then whispered to each other.
"They look like us." Rattick whispered.
"Yes they do." Rattissa answered.
As the Rattapacks were watching the two white rats dancing, one of the them stood up from his routine and looked towards the Rattapacks.
The other brother continued, and DJ Patrick didn't notice either, but the first brother tried to take attention, and spoke with a London accent.
"Hey hold it, hold it." the first rat said.
DJ Patrick stopped the music alarmed, and the other rat spoke, developing a Devon Accent.
"What's the matter Gregory?" The second rat asked.
"Somebody's watching us Gary."
"Who's Watching you?" DJ Patrick asked.
The Rattapacks came out into the open, the Jazzos were shocked at the sight of their kind, just like the Rattapacks.
The Rattapacks and the white rats moved closer to each other.
"Hey guys." Gregory said.
"Have I heard of the two of you before, you look very familiar to me." Rattamack questioned.
"That depends on who are the two you have heard of before."
"I know who you two are, you're the Jazzo brothers aren't you? Gregory and Gary."
"Yes that's right. The world famous entertainer rats." Gary responded.
"No way, the Jazzos?" Rattick asked in shock.
"Yes way."
DJ Patrick approached and confronted the Rattapacks with the Jazzos.
"The Jazzos just got back from their American tour about three weeks ago didn't you?"
"Yes, that right Patty." Gary teased.
"I bet you loved that." Rattissa added.
"Oh we loved it alright, we loved every minute of it, and the crowds were so, so supportive." Gregory said.
"I'm glad for you, it's no surprise that you are not one of the best, but in fact, the best entertaining rat brothers in the world…I've been very intrigued by your work over the last five years you've been around." Rattick complimented.
"Thank you very much, glad to hear of it."
The Jazzos then realised, that they hadn't given out their names.
"Oh, I just realised we hadn't given out names yet…you know me and my twin brother's names Gregory And Gary…what are your names?"
"You can call us the Rattapacks, I'm Rattissa Rattapack, I'm the strict one."
"I'm Rattick Rattapack…"
"The clumsy one my brother, and I'm Rattamack Rattapack, the crazy one."
"Say I've heard those names before, weren't you the trio that became city heroes three months ago." Gregory asked.
"That's right…if you've heard our names, you may be also be Familiar with the name, Katamancen." Rattissa answered.
"I can see you want us to have said yes to that. Well I'm afraid not, we've heard of you three but we have never heard of this Katamancen character."
"I'd rather we didn't go into it, as something terrible has happened, and we swore to Officer Carpel we wouldn't tell anyone about it." Rattick answered reluctantly.
"I see what you mean." DJ Patrick said.
"You know something Patrick…" Gregory asked.
"I know lots of things Gregory."
Everyone laughed at DJ Patrick's pun.
"That's very funny, what I was trying to say was, I think that our manager might be interested in meeting these three guys."
"Well what do you say to that Rattapacks?"
"I'd be very interested, what do you think Rattissa?" Rattick answered.
"Sounds brilliant, I'd bet Rattamack would be interested." Rattissa added.
"Who would it be this time I wonder, someone who'd call us dipsticks in our own back yards?"
Everyone was laughing at Rattamack's joke.
"That's very funny Rattamack. Our manager is a hugely humorous man just like the three of you…in fact the three of us were heading back to base to talk with him anyway, so maybe we can arrange with him to see you three and discuss something." Gary said.
"Sounds great Boys, we'll look forward to meeting him." Rattissa replied.
The Jazzos looked at their watches.
"We'll we'd better get back to our manager, he'll be looking for us. Peace, we out."
The Jazzos walked away from the Rattapacks giving the peace sign to them. The Rattapacks walked in the other direction away from them.
