Thanks for your comments everyone. To me Rich is an extraordinary artist. He used a regular #2 pencil. The paper used gave it its distinct texture. Truthfully this is one of his early works... recently he showed me his portfolio and I was truly blown away. Hopefully, he will allow more of his work to be presented.

This is remarkable the way he has captured the head and face and the expression and manerism through the toning of the (charcoal? what was used?), is really nice



Dont look at a mirror, it will only make you unhappy, instead paint a self portrait, you will forever capture your inner beauty!

pretty incredible, rich's got a knack for shadowing and detail... the shirt's and jeans' creases are very well done.
