I had a lot of fun mixing up the 2D cartoony elements with the more finished, rendered work here - something very hard to do in paint, which is another good reason to go digital. I had so much fun on this strip!Related content

Jeez, this photorealistic almost. Is it possible for you to use an actor to render a character face like you did here or could there be any problems? Mike Deodato does that a lot too, like with Norman Osborn, casting Tommy Lee Jones as a reference, and I always wonder if there isn't any legal possible problem.

Lots of guys use actors as ref - even Frazetta used to do it, and Al Williamson. But in this case it's meant to be a likeness of Sean Connery as the story is a parody and features ALL the actors who played Bond (only they've got different names.)

yet another judge dredd page yet another fantastic piece of illustration, iv been sitting here just admiring it for about 20 mins now especially the top left panel, Dredds ultra detailed chin is wicked almost looks real, the level of attention is awesome, is this for 2000ad by any chance if so you work with lightning speed as i thought that was a weekly comic?

Jesus, the amount of people saying that I'm starting to get paranoid! The story is a Bond parody, so they're all in it. Hopefully they'd see the funny side. I'm not strictly doing Sean, but rather his famous alter-ego.
Now excuse me while I pack my bags and run away to some secret location miles from anywhere...
