ok so whilst working on the new TF Animated Comic for IDW (btw dont forget to pick it up) i got bored and decided to mess about a bit with some of the concept art from Spotlight Hot Rodbasically i used Nick Roche's concept as a base and simplified it a lot, plus throwing in elements from the TF Animated model sheets.
i used a mix of his original g1 colours and his idw colours to get a nice look.
to fit into animated i think it would need to be simplified a heck of a lot more but its a good start

Woop~ That's pretty cool, but I agree with someone else on here who said the jaw needs to be more pronounced. then he'd fit in with TF:A. As far as simplification is concerned, I think he's at a good level; the constructicons had a lot more lines than he does now.

Very cool - Hot Rod works well in animated! My only comment is that i think the chin needs to be bigger like the other Animated characters... Have you done any sketches for the Alt mode?
