Description It’s been seven years since Jordan disappeared from his head. He often spoke of their adventures, forgetting that we were there for most of them. Lena and Mimi went back to the arena, tired of sitting at home all day. He hasn’t noticed their absence yet. He’s completely lost it. Jerry went home to take care of the gatekeeper. Kaja wandered off years ago. It’s only me, now. I stay here for him.
He doesn’t go anywhere anymore. He sits at home and counts his hourglasses. He’s more insane than he ever was with the voice in his head. He doesn’t understand that the world needs him. He’s a hero.
“I can’t take it anymore, Sari!” Asylum grabbed my shoulders roughly. “I have to find him! I have to leave now!”
“Asylum, come on. You need to sit down. I’ll go get you some grapes,” I say, smiling kindly at him.
“No! I don’t want grapes! I want to find him! I’m leaving! I’m going to find Jordan.” He let me go and walked outside. I know exactly where he’s going. I hid the machine years ago. I hid it for his own good. If he left without me- without any of us, he’d never survive. He knew me too well… He knew exactly where I’d hidden it.
Before long, Asylum was ripping vines off the machine. “Goodbye, Sari.”
“No, Asylum! If you go, I go!” I yelled.
“No, Sari! I have to find Jordan! I have to be alone!”
“Asylum, I’m always with you! That was the deal, remember? I follow you and-”
“Maybe I didn’t need you to follow me, Sari!” Asylum yelled. “Maybe, I don’t want you! You just started following me! I didn’t ask you to do that.”
I stared blankly at him. What was he saying? What did he mean? “Asylum I-”
“No,” he interrupted. “I have to go. I don’t want you to change my mind.” He walked over to me and tried to hug me but I pushed him away. He nodded. “I see. Goodbye, Sari.”
I regret that the most. I regret letting him go without that hug. I might never see Asylum Weaver again. I’ll never forget him. But I’ll always be alone…
~
Three years. That’s how long I traveled in the T.A.R.D.I.S. I’ve been alone for so long. Every so often, someone would join me, but more or less, I’m alone.
Somewhere along the way, I was captured, and held in a prison. It’s been a few months.
I wake up with a killer headache. I’m not sure where any of my cellmates are. They’ve put the skeletons in their beds though. How odd. I yawn and stretch. That’s when I hear the screaming. What is this? What’s going on? Screaming isn’t abnormal, but this is more like yelling. Not of pain but of… determination?
“Why are we in jail?” I hear. Some newbie must be bothering people. It happens. “Well, you sure have changed. Is it possible you shrank?” What the- That voice… Familiar. “You have a ponytail now? Bet that just makes the ladies swoon.”
“Jordan!?” I growl.
“Asylum!” Jordan yells, making me cringe. “Sorry, sorry. Speaking of Sari, where is she?”
“Home. Get out of my head,” I say. I’ve spent ten years becoming sane. I’m not letting him back in now.
“Aw, come on, Asylum. You don’t mean that- wait your middle name is Kyte?” Jordan chuckles.
“Out!” I yell.
“Well, I’m trying to find a way out, probably that door over there.” I suddenly have the urge to walk over to the cell door. It’s unlocked. “Of course the cell door’s unlocked. You haven’t changed much, Asylum. It’s been what, ten years?”
“You realize I looked for you for ten years? You’re the reason I’m in jail.”
“Let’s be honest, you would’ve been in jail if I’d’ve stayed in your head too. It’s sweet that you look though. Let’s go talk to that lady.”
“Who, Lyris? Why?” Lyris is just another captive here.
“Because she looks important. And she’s tall. And the quest marker says to. Let’s go!”
Jordan helps me escape the prison, more or less, and for that I’m thankful. He does talk about Sari a lot, which is a bit of a BUMMER!
Sorry, kid! I miss her is all!
Can you please get out of my narration, Jordan?
Nah, bro. You brought this on yourself. Shouldn’t have gone looking for me.
I hate you.
I know you do.
DID YOU JUST WINK INTO MY NARRATION?

This is great!! Its so cute, and Vent gets into Asylum's narration, and their relationship is pretty much how I imagine it would be! Great job!

Last time I wrote something like this, everyone loved the line "Video game logic" when Cywren shot someone in the head and they didn't die.
