Description I do like linearting, but it definitely takes the longest, haha. The weird ghost thing was a last minute thing since the second panel was askew.
What do you guys think? What's the hardest or longest part of drawing for you?

I draw lineart manually, but this is very relatable nonetheless.

I sketch until it looks inkable. Almost everything after that is just tracing or coloring inside the lines.

Being a perfectionist that sees every possible error that is acceptable to others but not to Me so I go back and redo it until I hate it more or I just let it go...
But that is when I draw.
Which was almost a year ago now.
*cries*

Oh man, I'm the same way. I'm trying to learn to just let things go but then it bugs me to no end...it's alright, dude, I feel you.

I don't really like sketching, but I like linearting xD colouring is the longest, but I like it and the hardest is drawing good background I hate backgrounds :-P

Backgrounds are definitely the hardest part, I agree. I've been trying to branch out and do more BG stuff but DANG it's hard. Simple comics like these don't really need big BGs but longer form comics do for sure.

Everything except sketches! XD Gladly, I enjoy any step of it nontheless.
Did you tried painting for more polished works?

Libearty In reply to OMadHatterO [2017-03-26 19:02:46 +0000 UTC]

Haha, yeah, sketching is the fun part. I like it all too, just lines can be tedious.

I only do "painting" for fun doodly things, currently. I'm still practicing with that, and with making believable backgrounds.

I have a hard time with painting myself, but I would resort to painting in change of a lineart and such. Especially more rough kind of painting.

Oh, I see what you're saying. That's a cool idea. I've wanted to do more lineless stuff for a while, because that's pretty fun. Comes with its own set of difficulties, haha.

I agree! I've did lineless myself as well but sometimes... if you are too much of a perfectionist like me it takes longer than planned! But I also had better times with lineless!

Definitely not a fan of linearting. While I've gotten used to it, it does tend to make me paranoid as I always feel I'll make a mistake, and have to start all over agin.

Libearty In reply to Handleman87 [2017-03-26 18:59:21 +0000 UTC]

Yes, definitely the same here! Especially when linearting traditionally, it's easy to make a mistake and not as easy to fix.

I Feel your pain. The Hard part for me is the Lines I Sketch for the body it looks better than the Lineart lines. brings tears of frustration.

Haha, I totally get that. Sketches are almost always better than the lineart, at least in my experience.
