Description The Night had passed and grey morning light shone in through the huge circular window overlooking the main foyer and second floor balcony.
A rope was tied around one of the balconies railings, held taught by the limp weight on the other end.

The Shifter was standing above it, smiling up at the large window. The echo of her own voice still reverberating around in the roof.
"Game over! Aren't I correct?" She laughed up at the ceiling, staring off into space.
Her eyes stared to water as the real one cried internally, reaching to the outward emotions. The physical body sniffed and wiped away the tears, almost angry.

"No need to get so emotional." She snapped aloud, drying her eyes. "It's an amazing thing you did! They barely got the chance to fight back! You must be my most powerful host yet!" She chuckled and snapped her wings open, but then paused.

"Oh, yes. Your body..." They pondered, smiling. "Well, I've decided our little game isn't quite over yet." They paused, as if listening to the response. Then started giggling.
"We still have one more stop to make... and I'm sure you know where that is," They answered the silent voice, and turned towards the window once again. "Your world."

IceFire's wings snapped open once again as she jumped off the railing, swooping upwards in a big spiral towards the ceiling. She caught more speed as she flapped around in another two tight spirals, and barreled straight towards the giant, glass window, tucking her wings in.

The window shattered into a million pieces as the Shifter broke straight through it, Sending thousands of pieces of glass scattering towards the rain-laced ground.
IceFire opened her wings and swooped upwards towards the sky, shaking little pieces of glass off herself.

The glass was like little fallen stars as it tumbled and flipped downwards into the mud, catching the light and reflecting it like a mirror. Their sound was that of broken wineglasses, ringing in an eerie way while they cut the air.

It was all left behind.

The blood, the bodies, the nightmare, everything.
As she was winging away towards the west over the great big sea of pines and skeleton trees, the sky was quiet and grey with overcast.
The dark blue car they'd come in was wet and deserted on the barren highway that cut through the trees like a long snake finding its way out.

IceFire's wing beats were the only sound that could be heard as the creature took hold once more, flapping towards her world's own destruction.

So many things pivoted on one person's decision, that could change... Everything.
