She is lean and strong bodied, her muscles tempered by constant running, sparring and fighting with those who would come to her. The only blemish upon this doe's form is the shredded left ear, a relic from childhood gifted to her by a failed predator.

A real live wire of energy and sometimes accused of having Windborne blood in her by those with malicious intent. Naturally, such claims fail due to the purity of her bloodline. Nonetheless, Corona still refuses to sit in once place for too long and is constantly flitting about here and there aching to do the next big thing. She has a difficult time staying at home and would much rather be running about discovering new places, fighting new enemies and encountering new friends than sit by watching the world go by. In fact, she struggles so much with the concept of settling down that she can sometimes inadvertently look down upon those that prefer the quiet life. Occasionally she takes a condescending, yet questioning, tone while she ponders aloud how anyone would want to stay put when there's a whole savannah out there to explore. She has not outgrown her childish nature quite yet.

Sometimes seen as a dissident in her herd due to her inability to be reigned in, there's a handful who believe she needs a firm hand to guide her down the correct path. She struggles with accepting authority when pushed --while she bows when appropriate, she can easily become annoyed and flighty when pressed too far--and isn't popular due to this. The only reason she hasn't faced any sort of real punishment yet is because, ultimately, she will obey the orders given to her even if she snorts a little before she does. This, combined with her trouble with sticking to a chosen task without guidance have made a number of Fawnlings(Doe and stag alike) unwilling to put up with her. Her frivolous nature is the subject of conflict amoung her parents, though she does not see their bickering.
Time will tell if the golden hind will ever truly be tempered, but her father desperately hopes for such a day.

With her Mother: Close. While her father grew disgusted with his daughter's abhorrent behavior, her mother instead saw something to be shaped. She helps redirect the doe's energy into dance, mentoring her daughter and helping her learn to control herself. Were it not for her mother's council, Corona would likely have not lived this long.
With her Father: It's complicated. After surviving an attack from a predator as a fawn, she grew wild and difficult to control due to her belief that Grian had saved her. Her father is proud and grateful to the sun goddess for her aid, but he wishes that his daughter would listen to orders better.
With the death of his eldest son, Alvise has grown even more distant with his daughter. Though she was closest to him, her desires to surpass him has left him jaded.
With the herd- Neutral. While the herd are not aware of her fervent belief in Grian's protection, her attitude in and of itself made her somewhat unpopular in her younger days. As she grew older her mannerisms became barely tolerated with seniors, but she is popular with fawns.
A strange doe, but one who has shown her faith for the gods through dedication. She's mostly shed any old prejudice born from inexperience.
[ H I S T O R Y ]
Background:
Born in the beginning of summer, when the sun blazes hottest, the golden filly was the light of her parent's lives. She was the final child her mother would ever have and, thus, her mother held high hopes for her. The rest of her siblings had perished -- either stillborn or falling in battle -- so it felt on little Corona to carry her mother's torch. Even from a young age she showed grand potential. Fire answered her call with little effort and she possessed quite a strong fighting spirit for a doe. Her father was particularly keen of her, watching her battle imagininary foes with mild intrigue. Does seldom made good soldiers, but he dared put faith in his little girl.
One day, on the tail-end of a passing storm, a predatory cat crept up on the young fawn. Her parents had turned their backs for but a moment, moving away towards the river for better grazing while the fawn chased insects through the grass. It was Corona's keen instinct that saved her from it's first attack and set her racing away, bleating and calling for her parents with blood streaming from a damaged ear. Her parents had heard her calls and raced to her aid, but not before the cat could launch another attack.
When the feline leapt again for the adolescent fawnling, the sun's light broke through the overcast sky. The sudden light directly shone into the predator's eyes, causing it to miss it's strike and buying the fawn time. In that brief moment, her father fell upon the creature with fury in his eyes. Her mother came to comfort her, cleaning the blood from her ear. Although the fawn was shaken and quivering, it wasn't fear of the cat that had set her body aquiver. It was the sun's brilliant light that had seemingly broken through just to save her from her fate. It instilled a new fire within her heart, stoking her confidence to a blazing inferno.
The next few years, her excitability earned her disdain from the fawnlings of her age group. They scolded her and called her names for believing that Grian had helped her, though she brushed it off and instead claimed that they were just jealous. Her mother began to step in more, trying to help her daughter understand what proper behavior of a Silverthorne doe was. Her father aided in this instruction, though she disliked his intervention due to how much more stern he was. She over time began to understand how best to behave in public, but it was clear to others that it was forced. Still, every little bit counted and it's what helped her gain gradual tolerance from the herd.
Afterward, her life was woefully uneventful. Much to her chagrin.

[ A D D I T I O N A L I N F O R M A T I O N ] ✦ Her wild and varied temperament is entirely due to a large amount of energy in her system, as if it wasn't obvious. Currently she's able to keep herself in check by devoting herself to practicing, but she can't help but feel as if this isn't anywhere near exciting enough for her.
✦ She is curious about the soldiers but is wary about approaching them. Thus, she keeps to herself.
✦ She finds it hard to say no to a pretty doe or handsome stag and is easily swayed by those she finds attractive.
