Description
A native of Scotland, Riordan moved to Preston for its high security after a mob of protesters against his mother's work on stem cell research attacked both him and his younger sister Ailsa.

Very athletic, Riordan quickly enrolled himself in as many sports as he could handle (his favorite being swimming), but fell in with the crowd you'd least expect. Liam, Jessie, Dane, Cicely, and Ri may be an odd combination, but it works for them.

In his junior year Ri began to realize he had feelings for a classmate, but not the usual kind. A homophobe tormented by his increasing crush on Taylor O'Conner, things finally came to a head when, judgment impaired by alcohol, they slept together. This caused conflict with Taylor's not-boyfriend Jean, but in the end Riordan and Taylor decided to stay together and Ri came to terms with his sexuality.

They ultimately end up remaining together for the rest of their lives, moving to Scotland, getting married, and having two children, Marie and Cam.
