I've always preferred the backs of women. Don't get me wrong, there's some neat stuff on the front, but when I began photographing women I discovered that the back provides and excellent pallet for 'sculpting' with light. This is one the best angles and creative uses of light and shade I've seen. Very sensual.

Thank you so much, that's a nice comment describing your thoughts. The last part is just too much, but I appreciate your commendation

Superb. It is simple and classic, a landscape of skin.

Oh that's the kind of comment I really like, thanks! The intention was to create a landscape from the body's form.

Yes very beautiful light i wonder how you got small areas slightly more highlighted without burning. Snoot ?

Thanks!
I'm glad you asked, I had forgotten how it was done myself. I have sought among the pictures shot over two years ago, at a workshop btw. Luckily I had a picture showing how the lightening was done. We used one single strobe with "normal" reflector (no snoot). In front of the strobe we placed translucent white fabric wrapped on a wooden frame (approx 40x50 cm) to make the light a little softer. This in effect mimics a small softbox. The light comes from above left in the picture, straight over the right shoulder of the model.
