Description This piece is not really my normal style, but I really enjoy technical explorations with illustrator, seeing and learning how to do new things or old things in new more effective ways. I also kinda like drawing women so hell, it's a perfect mix.

Made in Adobe Illustrator CS5.1 - I'm pretty please with the skin, no gradient / mesh tools where used (I need to get better at using them). I think the hair did not come out so well however (I'll have to work on that). I hope to add more here as and when I get time

Thanks! I was playing around with doing hair in illustrator (no photoshops) I've also tried a few other techniques out. I like the softness of this, it has almost a painted feel. But, I think it needs refinements.

may be true, but it's more important to improve the interaction of the different aspects , skin, clothes, hair.. if u ask me (:

I would agree, I hope I can push this technique further. I find it exciting to develop vector illustrations in such a fashion, to see what's possible.

I just thought it came off as a little small. Like the chin cuts off a little early maybe. That was it :3. You're welcome. There are a lot of neat subtleties in the details with this style I like. texture and some lightness in the colors that come out.

You're welcome . I think your style of work is neat. I just discovered you through this picture. I figured it would have more notice, it's an interesting way to try portraits it really brings out a solid sense of structure.
