Description Not really super special. I tried to make her look a little older (partly with the long hair).

I was originally going to go with a bikini picture (maybe with Starfire), but I ended up with this instead.

When I first saw the thumbnail I thought nice a dark juniper lee pic. Now that it's suppose to be raven it's kinda lack luster pic, just my impression...

...y'know, I got to thinking (always a scary thing)... if Raven must keep her emotions tightly controlled to prevent unwanted magical disturbances, how in the heck is she going to ever have a love life?

I'm not sure what happens for positive emotions. She usually has to keep herself from being afraid or angry. I guess it's possible she can be happy. Although there was that one episode with Starfire in Raven's body... It wasn't very clear about it, but Starfire seemed to be having trouble controlling Raven's powers because she was too emotional. Although Starfire was excited and worrying about the male characters at the time.

I'm not sure what would happen. I'd expect it would probably be hard for her to keep it a secret.

She does occasionally break out into a big grin. However, her "happy" emotions are locked away inside herself with the negative ones (as seen in the episode where Cyborg and Beast Boy enter her mind through the looking glass). It would seem that all emotions are dangerous for her.

So, if/when she finds a boyfriend, they will need to find a secluded island somewhere so her unleashed emotions don't hurt anyone. It might help if he were a powerful warlock, too.

Or in Gar's case (since BB/Rae was comic canon and is flaunted in TTG), the fact that animals can have long-life spans and that some have lived for eons (insects come to mind) allows him to handle the worst Raven could dish out.

Whatever happened to Beast Boy and Terra? Are they not a thing anymore? Β (I haven't seen any of the TTG.)

In the source comics' Judas Contract arc, they never were a thing. BB did love Terra, but she never loved him and was, in fact, in a sexual relationship with Slade as they plotted the Titans' downfall. In the 2003-2006 series, the cartoon Terra did seem to have some reciprocal feelings towards BB, but it didn't work out, because the whole reason for her appearance was because the 2003-2006 series' season 2 was its for-kids adaptation of the Judas Contract arc. There was also the popularity of BB/Rae as a pairing to contend with, especially since the source comics made BB/Rae canon for eight years (and all those years also included the entirety of the 2003-2006 series' initial run on TV) from 2003-2011 and the Teen Titans GO comics printed from 2003-2008 that were loosely based on the 2003-2006 series also toyed with the idea of BB/Rae as a pairing. It doesn't help that Tara Strong & Greg Cipes themselves would sail the ship for BB/Rae, too (granted though, Greg did admit that the animated BB would love both Terra and Raven, much like his comic counterpart did). As to the Teen Titans GO chibi spin-off series, Terra was as close to her comic counterpart as an animated adaptation aimed at families could get, in that she inherently hated BB from the start and seemingly wanted nothing to do with him, but instead, used his infatuation to steal the Titans' secrets and weaknesses and hand them over to Slade. Raven's jealousy and the BB/Rae moments in the TTG series would be due to BB/Rae's popularity in the fandom, its being comic canon (it was the last official couple of the pre-New 52 comics timeline), the original 2003-2006 series and the Teen Titans GO comics both hinting at BB/Rae, Tara & Greg themselves shipping the pairing, etc.

It was one-sided in the comics and in the cartoon, BB did love Terra and Terra seemed open to a relationship with him, but it didn't work out, since she sold him out to Slade in season 2 and then forgot about him in Things Change, the original series' final episode, saying, "Things change, Beast Boy.Β The girl you want me to be is just a memory."

I thought maybe Terra was just toying with BB, there at the end of the original series final episode, like maybe she was committed to having the relationship end, but wanted BB to find a reason to restart it. Oh well. I is disappoint.

'Tis okay. To each their own. I prefer BB with Rae, anyway. Just like how Robin/Starfire are similar to Eric/Ariel in Little Mermaid (besides the trip to Tokyo even including the rowboat ride scene, Starfire is a ditzy but lovable redheaded foreign princess from another world - although she comes from outer space instead of Under the Sea [ www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtdVAv… , however - searching for something more in life who falls in love with a black-haired rich person [Dick Grayson is Bruce "Batman" Wayne's surrogate son and Bruce himself is the wealthiest person in the DC universe]), BB and Rae are a literal Beauty & the Beast [ www.youtube.com/watch?v=sa_mhT… , considering that Raven is a quiet bookworm ala Belle (although she has her own inner demon to deal with) and Beast Boy is a legitimate walking one-man zoo, who has a definite bestial side to him per The Beast Within (within which Adonis provided the Gaston-type role). Likewise, Cyborg/Sarasim has a Pocahontas vibe in which technologically-advanced New World meets "primitive" Old World and Kid Flash/Jinx is, minus Robin's Genie (rest in peace, as we'll "never have a friend like" [ www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOXEEX… you again), an inverse Aladdin/Jasmine, in which Jinx is the street urchin stealing to get by and Wally West (Kid Flash's real name) is a well-to-do heir to the Flash legacy. Ironic, since DC and Marvel had the Titans crossover with the X-Men [ i8.photobucket.com/albums/a2/T… ] in the 1980's, the same decade as the Disney/Warner Bros. film, Who Framed Roger Rabbit [ vid8.photobucket.com/albums/a2… ].

Vilabela In reply to dannyboyex [2007-06-30 15:48:54 +0000 UTC]

Oh, various reasons. I've had stuff deleted, other artists too... it's always the same excuse, "innapropriate material, too erotic, almost pornographic" etc. A guy posted a pic of Katara in a silver bikini and soon it vanished off his gallery. You just accept it - there is no discussion with DA adms. I need to save everything cool because I never know if it will be there next week... or hours.

The thing is, the source comics from which the Titans exist shows worse than bikinis, so apparently, the DA admins are ignorant of the Titans' comic inspiration and only go by the cartoon, which they shouldn't, because the cartoons are based on the comics.

I Β mean, hell....If the RUGRATS can get away with showing characters in swim suits (see the official comics) or even "nakkie" (see Naked Tommy, an official series episode), then why can't the TEEN Titans, which is obviously meant for an older, broader audience?

AzurePhoenix85 In reply to RedWingsDragon [2007-09-18 00:33:36 +0000 UTC]

Thats pretty strange if you ask me, compared to some of the art I've seen thats over the top.

Starfire, Raven or any other titan babe in bikinis does not seem very evil at all.

But I suppose it all comes down to how the picture is done, if its like 15 yr olds in somthing exeding the age limit then yeah its bad.

Not to mention i believe it helps if you provide a good explination in your comments section when you go to post that form of work.

Thats what Ive done for acouple of my pics.
