I'm still in my astrophysics degree course, it's tough,

Aw I feel you. I was getting better at math, but then the one teacher I had last year just got me to drop so bad. She couldn't teach good at all, and she made the math seem harder than it really was. It was just Geometry, one of the easiest maths. But she made it seem like it was Trigonometry or something harder. I remember asking her for help on a really long problem that would take forever to solve, and all she did was pick up her pencil and point and move around the problem while legitimately saying: "do this, this, this, this, then this." That was only about halfway through the semester. I never asked her for any more help after that. X.X Passed the class though, barely. She really through me off.

I was thinking of asking someone else for help, but...Half the people in my math class at the time were dumb as a brick, and I'm actually not a sociable kind of person. I'm actually shy. x.x We had to go over how to plot points on a graph for a few days straight and people still didn't understand it. The one girl in front of me was just copying off of people the entire year-she never had to take the exam. She passed the class with a 90 something because she happened to copy off of the right people. Never did a thing without copying. The teacher knew it, but she never did a thing to stop it. I should have switched to a different Geometry teacher though, she really screwed me up. Didn't help with the fact that she literally raced through the chapters and switched to new topics in the class. I guarantee you I don't remember 90% of the stuff we talked about in there. I just remembered enough to help me pass. Not good. x.x Especially since I'm wanting to be a Physicist and I need to learn math like this. Gotta love block scheduling and sucky teachers. I only had around 3 or 4 good teachers, and they were smart too.

Our poor education....Sucks so bad, especially if you end up with bad teachers a lot. I didn't start ending up with sucky teachers until I moved to NC.

Yes, LOL. Education in this state is actually one of the worst and ranks about two spots from last place. O_O Makes me feel horrible lol. I only came across a small handful of people I actually found to be really smart too...Those three teachers I mentioned before, and then around 4 or 5 people in my classes I think? Don't know how many, very small though, the rest is...Eh. X.X

It's a really big shame, going to need to figure out what I'm going to do because of the fact that I can't remember 90% of what she taught. Might need to somehow teach myself, I'm self taught on a lot of things because the school never seems to teach enough or even what should be taught. x.x I was in tenth grade this past year with that math class, going into eleventh this coming year.
