Oh hey, a character I haven’t flattened before. Neat. And I figured out how to turn on motion blur so it should help make fast things look fast and help movements look smoother in general.

This one took a lot longer than I expected it to. It was supposed to be a pretty quick one kinda like the last one, but I ran into a couple issues, both with rendering it as well as some issues with the models. But I got it done and it looks fine I guess.

So this model was not the same as used in RWBY as I believe its a recreation, and as such does not have the “combat skirt” that RWBY uses to protect from upskirts, so I had to work around that for the bit where she’s upside down on the cube. The first version of this had it pretty bad but I ended up getting it fixed after a bit of trial and error.

This is the first time I’ve worked that extensively with an MMD model and I have to say I’m not really looking forward to working with another one. For one the face bones aren’t able to be manually posed and you need to use shape keys to move them. Okay, not too big of a problem, the real issue is that all of the shape keys are labeled in Japanese, so I had no idea what any of them did. So I had to go figure out what all of them did and rename them so they’re in English. Plus there were some built in IKs on the legs, but I had issues on the arms so I ended up just using FKs for them.

Not a whole lot else to say about this. Just a pretty standard animation from me.
