They actually have forest's in Holland ?? I lived there for 12 years and thought it was all very urban. I am glad you found a great spot to make a good picture there.

You are quite right about the urban character of a lot of the Netherlands, especially the west. Here around Hilversum we have some forests, rather small (5x10 km), but still very beautiful, due to a ridge of moraines from the last but one ice age. While this was a holiday area in former times, people hardly esteem its beauty these days, just taking it for granted and using it for the weekend walks.

Yes, I myself lived in Zaandam for about 5 years I still speak dutch too. I will be there next year in April!
