❚ Body & Fame
Has black hard scales on arms and legs, which became slightly scarlet on tips. I was very much inspired by the matches, which are also fit this character nicely as an aesthetic trait.
Seol was a big bird and looked quite mighty due to his height, petto fluffiness, and wingspan. But he would have lost to Natty’s hand in arm wrestling for sure.
The finger on the wing, and in general such an anthro-build, is a reference to the oldest period in which this character lived.
His substance had a “slightly gingering ocher” color.
“Feathers get longer when flying” is a general trait for all gargoyle species of their world. When they walk on the ground their wings are much shorter than they should be for flying.
Maybe I will illustrate this process one day. But in general, they simply transform their mono-substance from the body inners into the elongation of feathers, creating emptiness within the body. Thus, they save the same weight but changing wing yardage.
Seol wasn’t a very-first friendly gargoyle, but he was charming in terms of abilities and very active in contact with locals.
The meme "white birds are good” came from him. In fact, we understand that white birds, like all other birds, are always different creatures with different personalities.
At the moment, there are extremely many references to Seol in local culture and mythology. “Seol”, “Colel”, “Prima”, and further. Usually, it’s a deity of light, light bulbs, “dead sun”, depending on culture and legends. If we talk about the veracity of this pile of fairy tales then … Yes, Seol was white. After that, their truth is exhausted.
❚ Magic & Results
Seol’s death it’s a perfect demonstration of unsafe and “unprofessional” local magic usage. It was just a usual outcome since he was one of the pioneers in this topic.
But Seol didn’t create any disease, he only abused unsafe magic [Solar magic] and was first of gargoyle species who died due to Death‘s personal touch.
[!] Text is rly big and hard to understand due to lore specific, so this is for those who are extremely interested.

Solar magic
━━━━━━━━━━
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pre-Houses Light
The universe we talk about hasn't got a sun and all other stars, well, as well as a cosmos itself.
The source of light in the ancient period was either giant rotting corpses of colossuses, anyone's skills of attracting attention and kill attracted one, artificial/natural fires, huge pieces of luminous underground materials [which are called "moons"], glowing plants&mushrooms, insects and other variations of intermittent phenomena.
In those days, Seol looked like this [image-link#1 ] and had done such things [image-link#2 ].
After separating [image-link#3 ] and a long period of quite risky recovering, Seol became a less aggressive bird. Sufferings he and his brother relived made him a little colder and less dominant-related buddy, but still interested in own previously-hunting ability of light creation. In prehistoric times, it was a kind of internal reaction that was supported by the design of a two-headed creature. After the separation, Seol had to restore his potential not by "natural way" [since they lose this talent due to changed body design], but by coding, which eventually developed into another type of magic with, as he decided, practical application.
Ancient solar lamps
For some time locals used magical lamps based on this "solar magic". The lamps were created by Seol or by other pioneers. These stories don't always end in tragedy, but things happen.
However, it's rather difficult to bury them "just like that", and certain teachings consider the destruction of "Seol's lamps" [image-link#4 ] as something wrong. Believers are so tender. So, things happen even now, when these ancient lamps operate again for personal or general use.
Current use
This magic itself rarely appears in the first 10 houses as a discipline. However, its foundations were redirected to other forms of impact on the world, much more secure. Well, little ancient disappointments, it happens.

Seol's disease
━━━━━━━━━━
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Incurable
"Seol's disease" is one of a huge amount of errors based on material construction and inner chemical reactions. It considered as "incurable" for "current times" of the universe, but not a "deadly" one since don't hurt a Core and "gives a chance".
It isn't based on the real-life disease but was inspired by a batch of real-life shitty traits of different diseases. So, it's only fantasy stuff, the world should have something awful after all.
Individual error
It isn't an infection, virus or etc. contagious thing. It's a personal inner error [of core ini-layer] which required a personal approach to each kind of being and its composting materials.
The error occurs after the magical influence of Seol's light or light which made by the same coding. Really strong or really long influence of that "ancient sun magic". It also strongly depends on the ini-layer settings [heredity, genetics, and level of protection]. Also "The Rage of the Sun God" or "sinners gonna suffer" are still popular explanations in some myth-fooled-minds.
For a while, resurrecting the ancient lamps was a popular&fashionable thing, for another time the "Sun Project" was supported, and these periods were also full of sick ones.
Work system
That error preventing the updating process of one body material from "Material A" to "Material B". The emergence of "non-native material B" causes slow and painful conflicts with all other "C; D; etc. body-natural materials" as well as the immune system. It doesn't cause the Core death but may strongly spoil the work of the Motivator, connective tissue, other organs proper work.
Since full updating isn't a very fast process, a sick creature has a lot of time to suffer and try different methods to find a cure.
Results
Suicide is a very popular "cure". Prosthetics is the second most popular method, but it's a way for really rich butts since they have to replace everything in the end. Strong painkillers are a common way to alleviate the course of the disease, but they do not save from refusing limbs and internal organs.
Alternative medicine, magical stuff or ways of "fight fire with fire" usually led to other errors and/or a combination of 'em what, kinda, not profitable in a perspective.
Usually, it "ends" with body dysfunction and motivator failure. The motivator can be restarted or replaced, but this will not make the rest of the body more mobile if nerves and/or bones are damaged.
Future
Actually, they should find a cure one day.
Little dictionary:
‣ The Core is a fantasy brain replacement with the same functions + expanded capabilities[magic], altered characteristics and general anatomy.
‣ The Motivator is a fantasy replacement of a heart but with fewer major changes.

Wow, someone read it! I'm very pleased!
Yeah, their universe it's a place maximally not-for-life. And all creatures' doings bring a little support for the existence of each other in this dark and empty place <3 Like, ettas bring flora, galettes bring fauna, their scientistic ideas bring light and so on.
