Is a usual background character, but it turned out that she occurs quite often in other character's backstories. I was surprised. But there's no wonder, however.
The local set of sentient beings is unimpressive. The main population of the Houses, in fact, is non-sapient units (which the intelligent ones process into food and so on). Thus, even the Great Houses feels a bit like a big village - at least half of the population have heard of each other's existence, they most likely went to the same school, and they don't have much choice in some of the other everyday services and may meet each other in a hospital or store. It's hard to keep secrets, too.
Pam worked for glory of [ Rechata's] "vampiric buisness", but she lived in the 5th House and wasn't a vampire.
The same age with [ Xehep], studied and passed some exams together. In fact, is a pretty ill-mannered one. So the pumpkin and the cat got along well at that time.
But even though the character isn't supposed to "be good," Pam was pretty dedicated to her job and work missions.
The character's original mission was to guide [ boss' son] and make him feel comfortable on his journey to the very 5th House. Because of this, the cougar was unlucky enough to visit the 3rd House at the moment it fell.
Later, she won't get to rest either, haha.
