Reflection
As time has gone on there have been many opportunities for an esk to reflect on their past experiences. What has your esk reflected upon? Was it a past event, or how they have changed over time? Going into the new year, is there something your esk would like to reflect and improve themselves upon?
╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯
Do you know that swallows are still trying to cross the desert, because this course remains with them in instincts, and many die in the process?
As I understand it, once very long ago Africa looked very different. Lectures say that once instead of the desert there was a savannah.
Also, for some reason, were found mummies of eels, the distribution of which is in a certain jungle zone, but there is no evidence that Egyptians were interested in the jungle area.
True, I’m not sure that places, where pyramids located, should looks like this - I only know that the territories of the necropolises were full of vegetation and in general, were “like oases”. I will allow myself a little imagination, anyway, I couldn't find how this territory should have looked before it was filled with gold dust.
This is an interesting topic of reflection for this character, whose boundaries are in the plain zone, not a desert. Most likely Aumm liked the vegetation. And the swallows that flew over her head without a high chance to fall.
Now she looks like a tiny oasis because of her color. But this is a movement of nature, which was also reflected in the myths of the red earth. Nothing that could be stopped or changed. Well, certainly not with the paws of a small esk.

The mark of time is heavy here... but I believe in nature's course... as an esk, Aumm might know it better than anyone, too.
Again, breathtaking scenery...!

Yes, I think this, as you said, is only nature's course, a movement, that it simply is And watching this movement should be bewitching and can be intimidating.
It's great that you liked these scenes, I'm glad to hear from you! Thank you

Alright, first the upper one:
I love the mood you create. The dynamic shapes and the many background elements that make this seem like a land full of life and things to explore. The sunlight breaking through the clouds and Aum looking up into the sky are such hopeful symbols. The land fading into blurriness in the background makes it seem like there is so much more than just what we see.
In the lower one the same effect shows the endlessness of the wasteland. The sky is more grey through the sand being picked up by the wind. It's amazing what a difference the change in pose makes. For now the esk can no longer stand to watch the birds - afraid that they might fall.
It's also really cool, how without their fern-mane they look like a former king degraded to a lonely beggar (also with their jewelry missing). The sand in their fur is a nice detail. The shading on the sand is awesome! I love the dark shadow Aum casts behind themselves.
Great work!

I love this thought, the idea that things were so very, very different a long time ago. It makes me wonder just what happened to change things so drastically.
