Art Trade with
Fallon
Long wait again, but I finally got around to draw also this Art Trade part! ;u; I am very sorry Triss for making you wait so long! ;n; Drew this on Friday when I settled down in our living room to watch the door. We were expecting a delivery and my parents were gone until noon, so I was there to guard the house. I figured that I could do this best downstairs in front of our huge TV! Because I did not want to watch a movie though I set up my laptop there (which is more work than you might think) and connected it to the TV, so that I could keep watching Supernatural while being lazy on the sofa and draw stuff.
This is the drawing I worked on while watching the end of season 4 and beginning of season 5. 7 episodes in total I think. And yes, you can fill the time between 9am and 2pm with this!
Just to let you understand how long the process of drawing this actually took me, since it looks so simple.
Again I worship brown paper! It saved me a ton or work I would have had with drawing the sand. ;u;
And Triss, I think it was you who asked for a desert as a background. I'm sorry if I am mistaken. But it was fun to draw a deser traditional anyway. Have never really done that before. c:
I really hope that the work was worth it and that you like it!
PS: The random white spots are NOT essentially from the rough paper sourface I drew on since irl you do not see these spots. I completly blame them on my scanner and I tried to remove as many as possible with ps in the after-edit already! Please ignore them.
I would very appreciate it when you would not write a critique to this picture please. All traditional art is like vent art for me and therefore I do not care about anatomy. For right anatomy and a "perfect" drawing style I have digital art. Traditional art is just like messing around with everything and I don't care about improving it further. I'll rather improve my digital art skills! Please respect my rules, this is MY gallery after all!
Thank you.

thank you so much! ;u;
I was half-cheating on the background because the paper was brown, so I only needed to draw the sky and some shades in the sand :'D

thank you!
I use a mixture of Prismacolor pencils, Farber Castel Polychromos pencils and Caran d'Ache (soft II) pencils for my traditional art :3

Nevermind the wait, I'd say every second was well worth it :'3
But seriously, what have you done my mortal eyes cannot handle this
You've perfected his blue-black coat, and that delicate arabian-like head of his. Thank you so, so much for this ;u; I just cannot stop staring at it, all those lovely color transitions in the sand and windswept, free flowiness of his mane.
And I can't fathon the idea that you drew this on brown paper and yet all the colors came out so boldand beautiful. Where you using Prismacolors or Faber Castells?
Oh, and yes, a desert background is perfect since that's where he lives ;3
asjgaskjfgalskjgdtgui The longer I stare at this drawing the more I wanna jump up and down and scream like a litle kid hyped up on sugar XD probably a good thing we're in two different countries or I'd probably hug you to death. You wouldn't mind if I used this as a wallpaper for my laptop, would you? *u*
After being in town all day, coming home and finding this in my messages has definitely made my day :'D

I'm so very glad that I seem to have gotten everything just right!
I was using a Farber Castell black for the coat, but the blues of the coat as well as the bluish shading of mane and tail were done with blue-greyish CARAN d'ACHE pencils. Oh, and the white was also done with a white CARAN d'ACHE pencil. Seriously, I love CARAN d'ACHE pencils since you can almost draw over EVERYTHING with them. I use the really super soft ones for it and I LOVE THEM! Every time I go to boesner now I come home with at least 10 new of those pencils. I don't know if they are available in America, but here in Europe they exist. They are from Switzerland. :3
The background and Fallon's eye were done with Prismacolors then because I just have SO. MANY. COLORS and therefore could get the colors right with them. :3 Also you can blur them very nicely with a tissue! The sky then was drawn with white and blue CARAN d'ACHE pencils again because they could cover the brown paper best.
yay, then I memorized it right!
I feel honored! >3< But allow me to cut it down to a wallpaper format for this. :3 Say, how large is your laptop screen? 1600x900Px or 1920x1080Px? or some other size? (if you don't know you can send me a screenshot of your screen and I can find the size out with pse)
That's awesome! I'm glad I could brighten your day with this
