Description An inside look on how I made this... including the phase where I take pics of both sides, redline the one side then flip the redline the other side to see if my lines line up.

Just like my loftwing this started as carved foam which I then covered in painters tape and then made a shell over, first with newspaper and white glue and then many layers of heavy paper bag and outdoor grade wood glue (Elmer's not gorilla, Elmer's dries stiff not flexible and you want stiff) the result is actually quite strong and quite hard, feels like thin wood, seal with plastidip to protect against moisture.

.... the fun part is hinging these kinds of heads to make the mouth move >_0

Oh and the pigeon picture, if you missed that note before it and the dodo are interchangeable, just swap the head and tail.

PS could someone help me get a copy of Corel Painter X ... I lost my disk and I need to reinstall it on my laptop since it had to wiped clean and rebuilt >_<

Very cool to see the WIP.

I'm curious now though, does layering it with newspaper, glue, and paperbags make it easier to fur later?

the foam is not part of the end result, the paper mashie over it is to make a hollow shell.
