thanks again. And, do you know where i'm getting all my names? From a book of German poetry - Modern German poetry 1910 -1960 I just scanned through the book, found lines i liked, listed them and then when the painting is finished i pick the most appropriate title...or the one that jumps out at me...haha....This is such fun...actually while i was scanning through i came across a song title that mick taped for me...- far off the iron serpent whistles by cul de sac...small world.

Thanks...i really enjoyed doing this pic and i love the rich dark green i eventually ended up with on the top layer. i am never quite sure how the pic is gonna turn out until the last minute...there is no plan...i just paint and then stop..when i think its finished.

There is no plan? I call this Abstract art!!!! I really like it. I find this genre very honest, and even more emotional.... i like emotions... i like being emotional and inspired by somebody's emotions )))

I completely agree with you.....with no thought and ego present...you just play and slap paint on until you get something that appeals to you. You have said it right - it is honest and emotional - no wonder i am having such a wonderful time doing it all and talking to people like you who sees the importance of abstraction...I teach young children and do you know, i introduced them to all sorts of art last year. and got them to try different genres - without a doubt, their favourite was abstract art and when i took them to our state gallery they ran (unfortunately) straight for the abstracts and oohed and aaheed about them....i was so pleased.

Oh, really? Thats new for me (about children), and I'm glad to hear it.
But, I think this kind of art is not understood as good as it can be.
