Description
My character Iris as a modern Red Riding Hood. I like modernizing my old favorite fairytales and I think this is one of the first things I've done in ages that I ended up liking too, so I decided to put it up 'ere as well. These days I put most of my art on Tumblr for those who are interested [link]Iris and art belong to me, Copic markers and multiliner on random sketchbook paper.

I really like this piece! The swirls in the trees are absolutely fabulous and the ragged tattered look on her coat suggesting as if she's just come running through tangled branches....
The colors are a really smart choice! Ice like background, and a fiery foreground fitting to Iris's personality I would think...!

thanks! Yeah, actually when she leaves on her journey her clothes are alright but an encounter with some demon-wolves leave her in tatters. Can't wait to finally finish the plot and get to actual drawing of this thing!!
