Wow, I just love this. You really captured the heartbreak and the significance of the lost daemon here. That's one thing I absolutely hated about the way the film adapted the books: they made the daemon-cutting seem so insignificant. "Don't worry, Billy. We'll find your daemon!"
As if finding her would solve everything.
But anyway, this is lovely.

I think the movies were going to go in a much happier direction than the books due to time constraints. :-/
Also I kind of enjoyed the movie as a separate entity.

This scene tore me up, gads. The entire story is epic.

It's so touching and also hearth breaking. I like the way the witches are connected to their daemons..
