... I just can't 'un-see' what I noticed when I looked at this in a thumbnail... and that being... that it looks an awful lot like ( I don't know if you've seen them before yourself, but )  one of them black and white notebooks the kids use for school?

It can be a lot of things...    It started out as impressionist flowers, and I decided to change it up to black and white, and it sort of took on a new life...  It looks like a few things to me, dalmations I hadn't thought of but I like it.   I almost called it "Popcorn".   And the other day it struck me in the thumbnail as one of those, I don't know if you ever saw them or remember, but those black and white composition notebooks we used back in the day for school? lol   If I ever need a notebook for a manip one day, I'll doctor it up and use a copy of this. LOL
