These were taken round the fire on the beach. The shutter was still half shut on my camera, I think the sand had mucked it up. But the effect it had on the image is quite interesting. Acts almost as a mask, half covered facesThis is Simper.....Happy Birthday Matt

again, I like how this captures the moment. the half closed shutter gives an odd voyeristic feeling. it's like literally looking through your eyes, but you're in the middle of blinking.

I really like this picture. At first I didnt know what to think with it all dark - but it really makes you focus on the person's face. And it looks like a REAL smile. Its hard to capture real emotion sometimes
