So, with all the WayForward love I've been showing recently, it seemed appropriate that I worked on a piece involving the bold and malicious rival of my favorite half-genie. Of course, I'm talking about Pirate Risky Boots from Shantae series.
Also, I wonder, who doesn't love a sexy villain? I know I do
I was planning on going with a simple lighting effect, more "animesque" style, but I decided to add a little more spice to the scene with a neat sunset at the sea. BTW yes, that is Shantae drifting away in the sea XD

Truth be told, what excites me the most about the upcoming 1/2 Genie Hero is "Risky Mode." I just hope it's not just a perspective shift of Shantae's story. I want a full-blown villain campaign! Pillage Sequin Land, seduce and cheat allies, enter the Genie Realm and destroy the do-gooding Shantae once and for all!

Yeah, originally I was going with a clear blue sky, but I did that recently, so I decided to switch that. In fact I think the sunset give her a better contrast
And yes, I always "overdo" some of my pieces XD But it's because I get caught in the process, looking more ways to make it look even better.
