Miraculous ladybug. Basically it's like French sailor moon only their artifacts are sentient beings, they have a time limit and one special ability that severely shortens their remaining time limit.

Just watched episode 1 on Netflix... but they started right in the middle of things so I'm not sure if I missed a previous season or what. o.O

They have the origin episode near the end of the season.
Pretty much first season is just to get the ball rolling with enemy of the week stuff. Season 2 looks like it'll move on to actually having an overarching plot.
