today has been a sad day.. i made the decision to tell my friend i probably shouldn't keep him. he absolutely LOVED me, but wasn't warming up to the others in my family very well, and was even aggressive towards my husband. we tried, but nothing was working and i didn't want to wait too long because i was already getting veeery attached to him. she picked him up this afternoon and i've been crying on and off all evening. i'm sad it didn't work out, i wanted to give him a good home. but on a good note, she said they missed him and were kinda glad to be getting him back. hopefully it's for the best.

Aww at least your friend missed him and will keep him? Maybe this is a sign you should get a dog ? Since the dog is your friends you can go and visit him!! It wont be the last time you have to see him!

yes, they missed him and i hope they do whatever it takes to keep him. she said he was very happy to be home!! i would love it if i could see him again.. i offered to dog-sit when they go on vacations and stuff

definitely i was really bummed out the other day, but it's getting better. i have a beautiful cat, sophie, and she always makes me smile!

Good luck!!! My one friend told me about making plush horns! Not sure how they will look for cosplaying though. Im making some for my troll scalemates when I start to make them I think whats stopping me is i dont know who to do first haha

tavros' horns are pretty large and we're thinking of ways to keep them light weight but sturdy. making plush horns was one idea. right now we are trying foam. we will kinda carve and sculpt them then cover and paint the foam core. hope it works! i made the girls their cosplay horns last year but they were smaller so i just made them with paper clay. it's light weight, drys smooth (no cracking) and takes paint well.

Good luck with the horns! I think thats what ive seen people do for them if you get stuck there area lot of tutorials!!!

the horns look good so far. pretty much finished carving the foam forms. wow, that was a messy job haha! getting them even and symmetrical to each other was the hardest part. next we're going to cover them. probably going to work on that tomorrow.

oooooh good! glad you found some floss. whenever i'm in that isle i want to buy one of every color.. not sure for what? mostly just because it's all so pretty!!

I just got a little over 2 1/2 yards of this yellow fabric that's close to sollux blood color for 2$ a yard now I just need to fork out about 15 and I can make myself a sollux blanket!!!!

I finished a vriska scalemate for my friend but I forgot to take pics before I have it to her I have the body done for my terezi scalemate and working on one for my friends sister, my other friend now wants a roxy one xD and told my friend I would make him a red scalemate because me and our other friend woke him up to hook up the VCR so we could watch Disney movies haha! So much to do! My one friends bday is coming up and I'm making her a companion cube she doesn't know about it and she is going nuts xD so happy I found ur patterns!!!

yep, i'll post a pic of the horns when i finish them. the paper mache went well. now i'm covering them in a thin smooth coat of paper clay. i have the first one done and sanded and it looks great! almost finished with the clay on the second one.

and of course.. i don't have the right colors of paint to finish the horns right now. i could custom mix the colors but i'm low on paint and i'd rather just go get the right ones so i don't have to worry about running out and then having it not match. gonna try and get to the store later today or maybe tomorrow... grrrr lol

i like his head shape so far, but i need to lengthen the face a bit. pleased with the horn shape too. today i'm gonna make the fin thingys and hopefully start working on the body pattern

Ah sounds like a lot of work can understand not having the energy! Its a companion cube that im making from portal she loves that game and I found a tutorial for a 3inch one and I made the pattern bigger so im hoping everything turns out okay and the tutorial one was made with felt and im using fleece but I got all the pieces cut out but cant keep making it till I get pink embroidery thread which I cant get till friday since its a 45min drive and my mom and I are going that way friday I cant believe walmart doesnt sell the thread :\

yeah, i've been run down and super busy this week. goatdad's coming along though. first prototype is pretty much finished.. enough to know what i want to tweek on the final pattern. hopefully i can relax this weekend and start sewing and working on the tutorial pics

wow, that sounds like a fun project! hope you post pics maybe when you go shopping you can pick up several colors of embroidery floss (common colors) to have on hand for future projects since it's not easy to get supplies! i can't believe walmart doesn't carry floss either.. crazy. it's such a common craft item. have fun at the craft store!! i still need to go myself, to get the paint for the horns.. ugh, so much to do!! hahaha
