I did it by hand but if you made it big you could use a machine.

there are instructions for cutting the tail on the pattern... pg 2, i believe. it's just a long rectangle and it gives measurements for it

this is so adorable ;w; must own one DD:
do you think felt would work instead of fleece? i just love how felt doesnt fray [and i have a fricken tone of it OTL]
π: 0 β©: 1
lishlitz In reply to stevie-kat [2012-06-09 14:28:42 +0000 UTC]
felt can be used, but can't gaurantee the end result will look the same as mine because i used fleece. fleece doesn't fray either, so it's also nice to work with and it's a bit softer than felt. good luck!!

Why does the body piece have to be 1x regular 1x mirrored out of curiosity? o: am i just being dumb and missing something really obvious, or?
π: 0 β©: 1
lishlitz In reply to Auriciona [2012-04-21 00:26:41 +0000 UTC]
fabric has a front side and a back side. most fleece you can tell the good side, it is fuzzier than the back. if the fabric you use has a visably nicer side to it you will want that to end up being the outside of your plushie. the body sides should be cut as mirror images of eachother so that you can pin them together with the nice side of the fabric facing eachother, sew together, then turn the body right side out for stuffing.

ahh yes okay i know that! c: i ended up accidentally cutting out two pieces at once, and got worried, but then i held the pieces up, bad side in, and they lined up, so i think it works regardless? the the fleece i'm using came already folded over with the bad side touching itself on the inside. o:
wow that sounds really silly
thank you! (and thank you so much for posting all these patterns fgdfh i'm so excited to have my own little tinkerbull hanging out on my bedspread.)
π: 0 β©: 1
lishlitz In reply to Auriciona [2012-04-21 01:16:53 +0000 UTC]
yep, if you left the fabric folded in half and cut two at the same time then they are mirrored images just like you need
..and you're very welcome! glad you like the patterns and glad i can help out. enjoy your sweet lil tinkerbull! let me know how he turns out

How do you print it out? I can't do it T_T
π: 0 β©: 1
lishlitz In reply to BabyRodent [2012-03-14 04:07:52 +0000 UTC]
hmmm? i'm assuming you're refering to the pattern pages..?
you'll need to be on a computer with a printer. you can either download the image using the deviantart "download image" button next to the picure, or you can just right click on the image and it opens a drop down box.. hit "save picture". do this for each page. it should save the pictures onto your computer and put it into your "my pictures" file. go to your 'my pictures' file and open the picture you want to print. there should be a small printer icon under the picture. push that and then print it out as a full page (8 1/2" X 11") image.
i hope this helps.. i really don't know what exactly you're having trouble with. let me know!

I am using your pattern to make a Tinkerbull for my daughter. Great instructions! It's turning out pretty good. Yours is the best I've come across. You must have had a very good teacher, or lots of practice!

both of my grandmothers sewed and took time to sit and teach me. i have been sewing on a hobby level for probably 20 years. these plushies i made for my daughters are basically my first attempts at making my own patterns though, and it's been a fun experience of trial and error. i've learned a lot the past couple months! glad you like the pattern, and happy it's helpful! thanks so much for the feed back i know your daughter will love her tinkerbull!! enjoy!
