I want to say thank you for the tutorial, It is really nice for some one who has only sewn buttons and simple strait lines to begin branching out. I do have a question thought, dumb as it may be. When pinning the bits together it sounds like you pin the head so the right side (the extra plush side) so that when you turn it inside out later before you stuff it the right (plush) side is inside where it won't be seen... Did I just interpret your wording incorrectly? I figured you would pin the pieces together so that the wrong side of the fabric faces out, so since I would be pinning on a table, I would put my body piece right side up on the table so the plush side was facing up to the sky and the wrong side is on the table, then I would be pinning the front body with the plush side down so that both plush faces fit together and the insides would be out and worked together then when flipped to be on the inside later?

Did I inturpret it correctly or did I just make my life too complicated? lol. Thanks for your time to read my wall of text.

This was a very nice an easy tutorial to follow, each part took me at least half an hour or less; I did this all by myself and i am currently 13. So i think anyone has the capability to make this (^w^)

What colour did you use to sew the eyes?

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

nyx-the-shadow-queen In reply to Volcrae [2016-05-22 19:33:55 +0000 UTC]

Most likely it is a tight stitch of white to blend with the eye. Or else there would be a jagged black edge on the eyes.

Same color as the fur I'm pretty sure.

I'm a bit confused about the V parts.
Let's say the side that's supposed to stay outside is side A, and the inside is B
do I do the stitches on side A or B?

because once I am ready to turn this from the inside out, I need to know where the "ugly" part of the stitches will be and I don't want to mess up >_<''

Edit: I did pin it. For some reason the felt still shifts. Any feedback is appreciated :3

lishlitz In reply to Melsea13 [2013-07-14 14:54:06 +0000 UTC]

yeah, the thin mouth piece can be a little tricky. i used pins to hold it in place while i quickly tacked it down in key areas to keep it from shifting too much, then went around the edges with smaller stitches to attach it securely. if that doesn't work for you, maybe put a little dot of glue in the areas where the pins are shown in the picture, instead of using pins, just to tack it down in place. let it dry, then stitch down the edges..?? idk, just an idea. good luck!!
