This is Point Reyes Light Station located at Point Reyes National Seashore, CA. This shot was taken on a trip back home to CA in 2016. I was delighted to be able to go to one of my favourite places on earth. A place I call "Fake Scotland" The stairs pictured here.. I believe there are over 300 steps leading up to the lighthouse. We didn't go down that day. A fun fact is that I had a broken toe so climbing down all those steps and then having many other places to visit just wasn't plausible. I tried to go back a year and a half ago ..but it was closed for a long while due to renovations... Then when they opened up again.. COVID reared it's nasty head. I won't be able to go back for a while because I bet people will swarm the place. Oh yeah some spots here in my city have just started opening up with a lift on some social distancing regulations. Oh, and another fun fact: There was actually a whale that was spotted near the light house about ten mins before I shot this.
