Description
Wolfen looked down the narrow pass, out into the jungle. Either side of him were tall, steep cliffs. This was the only way in or out of the jungle in this direction. A deep mechanical growl came from behind him, and Wolfen felt the ancient armour he wore hum with power. Wolfen glanced around and looked at the giant saurian mech, Arcnex.
"I know the feeling," Wolfen said, "I hate waiting like this too."
Wolfen had found both the armour and Arcnex hidden within a sacred cavern, deep in the jungle while he was exploring. A strange sensation had washed over him upon their discovery, compelling Wolfen to put on the armour. It turned out that the armour was a link to the mech, and allowed Wolfen to communicate with the ancient dreadnought. Arcnex growled again and turned, it's powerful senses detecting the approaching threat to it's jungle home.
"Show me," Wolfen said.
Arcnex lowered it's head, and Wolfen stepped up onto it. As the mech raised up to it's full height, Wolfen gazed out at the path that lead to the pass. He could see dust rising in the distance.
"I can't make it out," Wolfen told Arcnex.
The ancient mech hissed to Wolfen, and the wolf's eyes went wide as the armour did it's translation.
"That's the Dark Egg Legion!" Wolfen gasped.
Arcnex shifted it's feet and crouched slightly. It roared, and Wolfen smiled.
"Yes," he said, "I'll help you. Together, we'll stop them. I promise you, Arcnex. I won't let them despoil your jungle."
Arcnex gave a hissing snort, and Wolfen felt it's satisfaction. Together, the wolf and ancient mech would defend this jungle, and teach the DEL a lesson they won't soon forget...
