Try to make something like this, and you'll understand that it's harder than it looks. DeviantART is open to all forms of art, not only paintings and conventional drawings.

D: the "art like THIS" part is a bit rude, and borderline trollish. I'm open to crit if you have some to give, but it appears your criticism is more directed toward DA than myself, despite being posted here.
I'm going to take for granted that you don't honestly mean to troll my DA, so I'll answer your question seriously as to why my pixelwork is somewhat deserving: my lines and colors are tight and clean, making the sprites crisp. I was able to detail even while using black outlines. Despite the small size and great quantity, I made character sprites that are recognizable AS the characters they represent and are easily differentiated from one another. These are all aspects that are very important to consider in small scale pixel work, and I think the job I did does no disservice to the category of art it represents.
Now, I'm not saying there aren't craptons of great PIXEL artists on DA that are better than me, because there are. But I am proud of the work that I do, and will never consider it "undeserving" of positive acknowledgment.

>_< Yipes! I didn't mean to insult your pixels, I just meant that there is alot of other pixel-y type pictures that were made as DD's that weren't done as good, but were still made DD's. That was the part I didn't get. I wasn't saying your pixels weren't done greatly. They were!

If the Sprites seriously took alot of work(And I can see where they did) then I'm sorry it ever sounded like I didn't like the work done on them. They are actually kinda cute. O3O
