THIS image is my all-time favourite. In an era where female nude photography is relegated to an overwhelming amount of pure sexualisation or else with different coloured filters on breasts for no real reason, there is a lack of the strong woman that is actually displaying power instead of pretending to be tough-yet-vurnerable/soft/submissive to any man. THIS image actually has power and force behind it. She is nude but that is absolutely not the point; she has a controlled, wild expression in her eyes, the predatory look of someone who will strick a tresspasser but will do so out of right rather than bullying. Her pose is dynamic, the picture atmospheric, and overall it is a brilliant piece.
I'm having the image of Sekhmet from AOM tattoo'd on my arm later this year ([link] ) to symbolise the fighting female spirit, but I never thought I'd see the essence in a photograph like this.
