an octopus as a backpack..? don't ask.. it was a whacky idea inspired by =arjhun 's suggestions.linework done with a mechanical pencil, scanned, and colored in photoshop 7.0 with a wacom graphire4 tablet. textures from cgtextures.com . technique for textures shown here [link]

This is., by far, one of the best images I've seen on DA. The shading is great, the color is nicely done, the pose she's standing is is cool.
But the octopus is only held on by one string and looks like it can easily fall/slip off her back
