Description
Here's the Sergeant leading my tactical squad.I wanted each of the marines to have their own personality, so I've decorated each differently with their writing on their armor and weaponry.
The only change I'm going to make here is I'm going to give the snake on the chainsword 2 light green dots for eyes.
That way it doesn't look so much like a sperm.
The blood effect was done using P3 Red Ink. I like how it came out.

I do pretty close to what Jeff says below me.
But here I started with a base of beastial brown, Then I did the eyes and mouth, then built up layering by picking out the more raised areas with a beastial brown + a couple drops of dwarf flesh.
after that, I just added more drops of dwarf flesh to the ratio, finally finishing off with a pure dwarf flesh and 2 drops of white for the tops of the cheekbones, the furrowed brow and the very tip of the nose.
All in all it's probably 5 or 6 layers.
Now bear-in-mind, that these are THIN layers. if they're too thick it'll obscure all the detail.

I don't know Long scopes method but my method for simplt flaces is to paint the eyes, teeth and other non-skin things first then base the skin in Tallern flesh and highlight with elf flesh. Here an example: [link]
And here's the previous method with vallejo GC pale flesh added on the very top: [link]
